Timelapse | Garden Renovation

This timelapse is made up of 5000 photos with a playback speed of 20-30 fps. The photos were shot in intervals of 4 seconds, for around 8 hours using a remote timer.
For years, my dad has been unsatisfied by the condition of our garden, and so this year he decided to renovate it. The grass seeds have been put down, and now it's just a waiting game for the grass to grow.

Wait - what? Perfectly good grass is all ripped up, to be replaced by...grass. Meanwhile, a bunch of wheeled vehicles got to roll all around the property repeatedly.

If anyone looked at my back yard, the grass would look fine. However, the ground underneath it is so uneven that it's dangerous. I will try filling the holes and seeding new grass but maybe this guy also had lots of weeds. My front lawn is covered with creeping Charlie which is almost impossible to get rid of short of ripping it all out. You never know what's going on under a lawn.

That machine was not a mower it was a turf cutter, it makes the turf easier to remove and work with as it cuts it smaller

Are people dumb. 1. He didn’t mow the lawn, it was a Turf cutter. 2. The grass probably had disease and most likely had to be dug up and a new base layer put on. 3. He’s obviously planted grass seed, although I’m not sure why he didn’t just turf it

People aren't dumb, they just have never seen or heard of a turf cutter. It's not a common yard machine for the average homeowner. It's something pro's use or a specialized machine one would rent. Your not going to walk into anyone's garage and find one of them parked next to their lawnmower and trimmer. Also you knowing about them does not make you superior in any way so you can reverse your smugness.

太郎龟头 step 1 is to run a sod cutter over the area to be removed to aid in completer removal of the existing turf. Step 2 is to remove the old turf completely and haul it away. Step 3 is to spread out a thick layer of topsoil/compost so that the seed will have a proper place to grow. Step 4 is to apply the seed and started fertilizer and water well and frequently until the grass has grown in.

Used sod cutter to cut old grass and back hoe to dig up. Added some good topsoil, leveled and spread seed, which would be cheaper than resodding that whole backyard

tecnolover2642 the old lawn was fully removed, not tilled in! Spraying the grass with a herbicide before removal is not needed.
