I was inspired to do a design with roses, which of course have thorns, which made me think of Sleeping Beauty, aka Briar Rose. The curly thorns are actually very like doodles I've done since I was a teenager!
I hand-draw my designs directly onto the leather. My products are 100% artisan, or hand-made, from the cutting, to drawing, to tooling, to dyeing.
