"Don't You Believe It" was a an evening radio program not dissimilar to Mythbusters. Basically, debunking popular or even unpopular myths and assumptions. And that weird echoing rendition of "Don't You Believe It" was both the catch phrase, and the intro. So the Tom and Jerry sketch was basically paying homage to that.
One of my favorite T&J episodes was one of the baby duckling shorts. It was the one where the mama duck was searching for the baby and got shredded by Tom's lawnmower, so she calls on her Chad Husband Duck. 🦆"HenRYYY! There i was, just minding my own business and this big bully just ran over me with a lawnmower, see? 👙 And he got smart too." 🦆😡: "HE DID?"
Not a ripoff. Mouse Trouble came in 1944. The Worm Turns in 1937. There just wasn't enough in in between. Besides, Mouse Trouble is a billion times better.
I saw this same exact comment from you on another channel that reacted to NC's list. Not exactly original. The Tom and Jerry short is a lot funnier than the Mickey Mouse short.
