Love this home. It's the most calming home and the Christmas decor is just placed in the right spots. I'm a huge magazine person too, I save all of them and always enjoy looking at them.

Magazines. I’m old school. And old. I started decorating as a newlywed 51 years ago. And magazines were it. I do love seeing a space “move” in a RU-vid, how each part of a room relates to the rest. But I have very old magazines I still reference. As Lauren said “they’re yummy”.

Love her style and aesthetic. I too , am totally into balance and visual weight when making any vignette. Light, dark, smooth, rough, shiny, matt... textures and layers! Straying off topic... that sweet little dog's wagging tail had me smiling the whole time! My magazine collections are priceless to me. I have handled baskets that have them sorted by season. Spring,, summer, fall , winter . I just bring the whole basket into the kitchen... make a cup of coffee and spend hours pouring over them for inspiration. They never get old to me. I love everything about this home.
I have Southern Living, Gun and Garden, Cottage and Bungalows. Saved every one for ever. Catorgorized by seasons.I have a folder of idea and inspiration photos from many of the magazines. Each year it's a surprise. Always see something more relatable to our pleasures and new homes. Nothing compares to hard copy. Love your website and style.
I have a lot of 10 year old magazines too! Some things are just timeless. As the seasons change I bring out all my old magazines for that season. I love magazines!

To be honest, I don't normally like monochromatic decorations. Lauren has changed my mind. Her home is warm and lovely. I think it's because her things are not found everywhere and she used them in unexpected ways. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing her beautiful home. I could bring my toothbrush and move in. When I read a magazine, I want to hold it in my hand. I don't read them online. I find that they are so full of ads now that I don't read as often.
I LOVE Magazines!!! I am so thrilled that so many people in the comments love them also! I would go to Barnes & Noble and get some magazines and go sit down and just flip through them. But I couldn’t leave without them. I had to purchase every one of them!! And I cannot bear to throw them away… Too many good ideas!!! Beautiful Christmas tour! 1st, I love to hold a magazine in my hands and slowly look at things! 2nd, I think I see all (or most) of the furniture has removable, washable covers. Is that what I'm seeing? I have a club chair covered like that. My daughter, when she had more time, reupholstered the chair for me. But I would like all my furniture done that way. Can you tell me where I can find it? Her furniture is actually several years old. We love the ease of anything slipcovered too. We have a link to our slipcovered sofas but IKEA has some smaller nice slipcovered pieces. And you can buy or make exchangeable covers. 😊 Yes! So thankful for our Savior and to celebrate Him now and all year!
Kids ornaments on the trees are the most precious. Why cover and hide them with tinsel? I think that is sad 😢 May as well leave them in a box if you don't enjoy them.
