I look at watch reviews for almost 20 years and i can honestly say, yours is so fresh down to the ground and nice to watch thank you Sir for your great work .
Excellent review, became a subscriber. I bought one with the orange strap few weeks ago and I love it. My father gave me his Mido commander 34 mm PVD coated 50 year old watch in great condition and therefore agree with you on top quality for price. If I may come with one suggestion to ask you to say cm/mm when you use inches in your review as we are for certain many in europe who like to follow your videos.
Thank you for watching and subscribing! I also appreciate the suggestion to also use metric measurements for my friends across the pond :-) - I'm still blown away that I have people who watch my videos in Europe 🤯
Great review! Just received my Gray dial on the orange strap and couldn’t be happier. The big date is even better than I expected! Keep the good content coming!
Putting the gloves on for this 1200€ watch made me giggle. However I didn’t hit the esc button and was surprised and awarded with a very nice review of my current daily wear watch. Nice job 👍
@@jirikrajnak9047 obviously we don’t agree on this and luckily I’m entitled to my opinion. I’m not wearing gloves when I’m wearing this watch. So far it hasn’t resulted in any damages.Thank you for giving me credit to like this video, besides the fact and have a wonderful day.
Mido Multi Star TV Case 70'S Vintage Automatic Men's Watch Swiss ETA 2879 - MIDO introduced their first TV watch in 1973. Patek did not release the Nautilus until 1976, good review but this shoud be corrected, in any case the Nautilus has many similarities to Mido TV Case same as the Glashutte Original of Soviet era East Germany, Mido TV case is the Original look at the Mido Multi Star. last but not least: In 1979 Piaget introduced the Polo, after the 1976 Nautilus and 6 Years after Mido Multistar TV case.
Great review and for someone who's ad-libbing you flow so well 👏🏼👌🏻 nice footage as well, but It's your delivery that feels so natural and not forced. Mido fly under so many peoples radar, but this watch will change that, and what a beauty it is, remember this watch was 1st released in 1973, and the Aquanaut in 1997. Such a Hugh amount of watch for your money and one for me to collect.
Thank you and I appreciate the kind words! I think these will become a bit more mainstream. It checks a lot of boxes while being original and not jumping on the integrated bracelet train. I've thoroughly enjoyed wearing it.
Well done Dang. Great review for a stunning watch. I really like the big date series, especially the green one. May I ask you smth? Is it just me or is it actually a matter of luck for someone to get the right fit on the bracelet? I mean I see no microadjustment and no half links. How can i be sure that the watch will be neither too tight nor too loose? I'm ready to pull the trigger and this is the only thing holding me back.
Thank for the kind words man! The bracelet depends on how you like to wear it. I like my bracelet on the snug side. I think the size of each link helps immensely get a better fit, but a micro adjustment would be awesome!
Great review, Sir! Mido is an interesting brand and it’s design is special. The Junghans on your wrist is also pretty cool! Thanks for your detailed presentation! 😊
Just discovered you channel. Cool review of such an underrated watch, altough in Mexico they are a bit more known. Recently acquired the special edition "Season 01" with the multicolor dial and it's so nice and fresh. the best watch I have seen from MIDO in a long time. BTW the orange strap is super cool.
That was a very well done review. It was very informative and included lots of good information. I am liking this watch and am considering getting one. Thank you!!
Thanks for watching and I’m glad I could help fuel another persons watch obsession - they do say misery loves company 😂 Mido have a sleeper on its hand, I think this will bring more awareness to the brand.
I couldn't decide between Green and Blue, but after watching your video, I went with Green. I think the gradients look nicer on Green compared to Blue. Can you share the link to the strap you use?
This review is well-structured and the information is well-balanced and thorough. This watch is an incredible value. BTW, the David Yurman (and other bracelets) should be worn closer to the wrist than the watch. I look forward to more content from you!
Michigan fan here. Nice review. I just did subscribe. When you said "source" a strap, I guess you didn't mean from Mido? If so, I would be glad to hear an update on what kind of rubber (or other strap) works for this watch.
Good review and nice watch. Mido is very popular in Thailand and in the mall in Khon Kaen they have a couple kioisks with a wide selection of Mido watches, I am always tempted but just haven't pulled the trigger yet
No sir! Definitely from my shotty camera work lol 😂- I wish I knew how some of these tubers shoot in no dust environments. Either way, I have to send it off. The dreaded date wheel is an issue
I've heard about this problem from multiple people now and it made me second guess purchasing one. Some have also claimed that Mido has awful customer service, which pretty much sealed me not getting one. It's a bummer because I was looking forward to the orange strap.
Also here in Italy, there have been several cases of malfunction with the date stock at a certain point.the problem,at the base is that kind of complication, the big date, requires a lot of energy by the mechanism, hence it is a Common problem if not properly designed...i think Mido has lost a great opportunity, the design was a winner, but with these problems that happens around...i think it could be bette4 they do a version without date, what really metters is the shape here..
Not my style, but I love the dial work and the originality! You don’t see micro brands doing things like this. I think Cartier has something similar in the Tank line.
Ok I bought one down to you. Threw the rubber strap away. Got a dlugs rubber. Better. I ain't a watch guy. I got a Tudor bb stainless and a Rolex sub. Anyone out there on the fence buy this watch. I ain't taken it off. It's the big date. I'm 57 not getting any younger. You can just read this watch
Congratulations on the pickup. The Mido should compliment your collection with a splash of color! I can’t believe we get a big date complication under $1500
Thanks for commenting! I think they could get aways with making a smaller size, for my wrist size it’s perfect, but for 7in or less will definitely be a larger fit. Hopefully they do well enough to expand the line and colors.
@@abirdinthehand8753 thanks for commenting! For my wrist it’s perfect. If you like beefier watches you should check out the JeanRichards. They are 44mm and are wonderfully finished. However I’m to small of a guy to wear a watch that size lol
MIDO was making cases like this in the 70's, they're borrowing from their own heritage as much as any other outside influences. It definitely has similarities, but i think they do a good job of making it different enough.
Thanks for watching and commenting! I think the big date puts it more in the Glashutte lane and was a bold step, but all the “steel sport watches” are going for this look. At least Mido had one in their vintage catalogue to “draw inspiration” from lol.
@@dasmg agreed! I’m sure they’re riding the hype train a bit, but no different from all the other brands “looking back to the past” to inspire their futures lol.
