Timer instructions in PLC - Generate On Delay Timer (TON) 

In this video, you will learn the working principle of timer instructions in PLC. Here we understand the generate on delay timer in PLC programming.
The generate on-delay timer is called as TON instruction in Siemens Tia Portal.
You can use the "Generate on-delay" instruction to delay the setting of the Q output by the programmed time PT.
The programmed time PT begins when the instruction starts.
When the time PT has elapsed, the output Q has the signal state "1". Output Q remains set as long as the start input is still "1".
