Timex Camper 36- Cheapest Field Watch with Real Military Heritage? 

Perhaps I just haven't looked properly but I think you've managed to do something unique here. Yes it's tied to a particular watch purchase but it's a beautiful look at the history of a watch type I've never seen done this way before.

Very well done. I retired from the army and still have my little quartz timed with plastic case. Still runs. I put new battery in at Christmas . Don’t wear it anymore as the case is cracked and I don’t want to lose it

A nicely made film - field watches are my favourite watch type - I very much enjoyed owning a Timex Camper some years ago - they have a lot of character

Some videos claim the 30M water resistance means it is not suitable for swimming or showering. Is that accurate? 30M is almost 100'. Very few people would ever dive that deep. What do you think? By the way - fascinating history of an iconic watch. Keep them coming!

Very insightful review. Well told, objective, & genuinely (no bias) delivered. Affordable watches rock. I own a few including this one which I bought during the first months of the pandemic. No issues 3 yrs after . Battery is still the original one. I also have a Vostok Scubadude 420059. Given to me by my daughter. Would be more than glad to be interviewed to feature the watch on this channel. Thanks.

I have an original McGyver green mechanical plastic camper bought it here in Manila, Philippines way back 1990. I think I have the 88 or 89 version not sure.Kept it in storage after college. Perhaps you can ID it for me. Nice video presentation by the way.

great video! I love these field watches. I live in Rome and I saw a guy at a street market with a Bulova from maybe 40'sn or 50's, selling it for 400 to 700 euros. I want one of those so bad but maybe this cheap quarts version could scratch the itch...

I'm in Canada and this watch doesn't seem to be readily available up here. Only sources I could find are in Japan, and they're asking north of $100. Where did you get yours from?

if Timex put their minds to it, they could make a watch that could compete with Rolex. Rolex is high dollar by name at this point. but i think they would do better, Japanese R&D and quality control are second to none.
