Good content - I just had your video pop up in my feed. I grew up with a Timex and had a soft-spot for the brand. However, bought a dive-style 50m timex a few years ago and it died on my wrist while biking through a torrential downpour. Since then I have been wary, but this looks like the one for me now! I would say that a daily hot shower is probably a better test of a waterproof watch, than sending it down 200m!
Thank you! I definitely think some of the previous Timex models had some issues. That is why I stayed away from them. I think you will be pleasantly surprised by this one! 🤙🤙
Excellent review! I had the same problem with Seiko and I sent it to the Seiko Service Center in NJ. Then was $140 which is about the price of the watch but I do not care because it works great!!!!
Hi Tony- I must say, I saw a hell lot of videos on RU-vid where people shout you to buy this or that watch, but the casual and chill approach that you have is the best. I love it. No nonsense, seems like we are just having a conversation. And I ordered expedition after watching this. Now can you tell me where did you get the strap from? I am gonna customize it too to look just like yours. Thanks man. 😊 cheers for another miller !
I found one on eBay for a sweet price. It's a great little watch for the money. I really enjoy it and it's in my regular rotation among the Gallet, Eberhard, and Hamiltons..
I just bought this watch it came in yesterday. The only thing I have against it is it doesn't have military time. I do have a hamilton Khaki automatic and a seiko 5, and they both have military time. Also, the strap kinda feels cheap , but I can change.
I got the watch for about a week! I’m happy about the time keeping its 7 seconds a day! But the watch died after 5 days! I had to manually rewind it. So it last 5 days while wearing so I need to wind the watch after a few days! I hadn’t this problem with swatch automatic sisten51 had this watch for 2 weeks and I never had to wind the watch. So verdict is: this watch doesn’t charge a lot you need to wind the watch at 4 days so it doesn’t stop
Thanks appreciate the video, my only push back is on the Miyota movement. I'm a weeb and firmly believe, like Marty McFly, that 'all the best stuff comes from Japan.'
- I have a micro brand field watch with a Seiko movement that improved after a few months of wearing it. Ya, I’ve never been impressed with Luminox. I like that Timex, wish they did away with the display back in order to make it slimmer.
Thanks for sharing that dope Timex bradda T! When the Subs not on my wrist I've been wearin a Citizen BN0150 diver. Beach, hiking, banged up & down. Doesn't tick on all the markers & date window sucks but this quartz keeps perfect time always & the thing is a glow monster! Best Prime day deal for $150! Better than any of my Seikos that always end up way off time too! No Citizen AD waitlist either & actually cheaper on the gray market too lol !! Aloha my man!! 🤙🤙🤙🤙
I bought my watch as soon as Timex released it as a standard issue (it was previously a joint Timex/James Brand colab limited edition) and love it. My watch was very accurate right out of the box, so I had no break in period to wait for it to be useful. I also swapped it out with a Barton silicone strap which is miles ahead of the crappy leather band it comes on. I wish i knew how to cannibalize that cool titanium buckle to the Barton like you did... it looks great. FWIW... I like my watch so much that I bought a second one just to keep new-in-box just incase my watch fails or is lost or stolen. I know this won't be around forever and I'd hate not having it.
I wear a Timex Scout field watch or a G shock classic solar , I might get a Seiko 5 Sports Flieger Automatic Black and Orange, Tissot Automatic Watch with a pocket watch movement if I can find one.
This watch caught my eye and I'm not a watch guy but my grandfather had a Hammonton from Vietnam and loved how it glowed in the dark. And this reminded me of it. Should I just buy this or the Hammonton?
