you forgot the night mode: if you press the light button for 3 or 4 seconds you activate the night mode. In night mode the light is activated each time you touch any button, for example if you set your alarm before going to bed.
Absolutely. I tried a couple of different G-Shock models, and returned them both due to the fact that the alarm was practically inaudible. If the alarm function is an important consideration to you, go with the Timex.
Sorry for reviving such an old video. I'm in the market for a watch soon and this seems to fit my minimalist needs. One question: Does the timer run in the background if I go back to the time screen... Or will that exit the mode? Much appreciated!
Believe me, a Timex is PLENTY tough, it doesn't have to be necessarily a G-Shock to wear an "ultra tough, can do anything, will survive anything" watch. Besides, compare a DW-5600 to a G-7900 and the 5600 will be a whiny little loser :-). I have a lot of Casio's and I have a lot of Timex's and when I ever had to choose between one brand It always would be a Timex. The alarm on this model is MUCH louder than on most Casio watches (G or non-G) and if you ever try to set a timer or alarm in pitch black, no problem with a Timex and good luck with a Casio...
No what for? It's not an atomic/radio controlled watch so how is it gonna do it? And to set the time one hour ahead or back is a matter of less than ten seconds.
