TIMEX WEEKENDER WATCH REVIEW (Episode 88) 

Hey Patrick, sorry it took me so long to reply. I am in NYC at the moment performing on Broadway and have not had a lot of time to check in on the channel. The weekenders are great man and the indigo light is a game changer, trust me! I am like you, spend some money on solid pieces but the weekender is one of my favourites. It's a great little watch! and you know, because it's not expensive it's totally worth taking the risk ;) Let me know if you pick one up and how you like it. Best, MJ

I do love the look of the Timex Expedition and the Timex Chronographs. Sooo much watch for the money. You are correct re Hamilton vs Timex on the field watch. The Hamilton is like 5x the price for essentially the same watch. Granted the Hamilton has a few extra build quality details but not 5x worth IMHO. Cheers, MJ

Glad you enjoyed it. Where have we been for all these years? How could we miss Timex and the INDIGLO? That night light is sooooo good. I do agree that it's a little small. I have a 7 1/2inch wrist and I don't mind it too much at 38mm but I know they have a bigger one at 40mm too. I am looking forward to changing the strap on this. Will totally change the look of the watch. At this price it gives you money left over to buy 3 or 4 straps for different occasions. The more I buy these affordable watches and see how well they are made I am looking at some of my Swiss Watches through different eyes. Don't get me wrong, they are built great but a BIG part of it is all the name/brand. Kinda reminds me of overpriced sunglasses. I will bring other Timex's in for review :) See you Friday. Best MJ

@@BeerandWatches ill have to look for the 40mm one then Matt, I like the design of this one and the 24 hour markers are a nice touch definitely agree about the Timex value for money and thats exactly what i did, I pickd up the Fairfield for 29 bucks at London Drugs and spent another 50 on a selection of Nato straps from Blu Shark and I've loved the watch ever since! Look forward to more Timex on the channel bud!

Joseph A I know!!!! I can’t believe the Lume/Indiglo, it puts all Lume out there to shame!!!! Check out the Timex chronographs if you are going to get a Timex. I’ll be picking one up. Also come with Lume and at a crazy price! Be safe out there too. Best. MJ

Actually, I looked up on Amazon as I typed this and they have some great prices and some cool strap and dial options. @@BeerandWatches Yes, they are said to be as sharp at making watches as they are on their legendary pocket knives. Would be really interesting to see an affordable Swiss watch like this reviewed on your channel. Think more people would like to see it.

Great thing about the weekender watches from Timex, you can change the straps very very easily :) Casio calculator watch is awesome. I picked up my first one a couple of months ago. Hey Darren. OMG, yup! I always tune in to the US news at home, it's way more entertaining :) I know why watch collectors have no love for Timex, it's basically always been a throw away watch. BUT, I consider myself a collector and I LOVE IT! It's my first Timex and I can't wait to explore the brand. Stay safe down there man Best. MJ
