멀리 바라보면 사라질 듯 다시 뵈고
휘날려 오가는 양 한 마리 호접처럼
앞 뒤 숲 푸른 버들엔 꾀고리도 울어라
어룬님 기두릴까 (가비얍게) 내려서서
(포란簪 빼어 물고) 낭자 고쳐 찌른 담에
오지랖 다시 여미며 가쁜 숨을 쉬도다
멀리 바라보면 사라질 듯 다시 뵈고
휘날려 오가는 양 한 마리 호접처럼
앞 뒤숲 푸른 버들엔 꾀고리도 울어라
English Translation
Swing
Look far out, and she seems lost but appears again,
As if blown hither and thither like a butterfly.
In the green willows of the near woods, nightingales are singing.
Lest her dear lover should wait, she lightly steps down.
After taking out her egg-colored binyeo(hairpin) to put in her mouth and fixing it again into a braided ball,
She breathes hard while she is adjusting the front of her dress again.
Look far out, and she seems lost but appears again,
As if blown hither and thither like a butterfly.
In the green willows of the near woods, nightingales are singing.
