I've gotten through my 3 year battle of depression and severe anxiety but when I hear songs like this and it takes me back to those times in a wierd nostalgic way and I see its so easy to be sad but so hard to be happy and thats why we as a generation struggle with it so much, you almost get addicted to sadness in a way. A few years ago, I met a girl in a school. Before I fell in love with her, she was just a classmate. Our class went to a trip overseas and it was normal until the way back home. I was just looking outside the window feeling bored and sad when someone randomly snatched my cap from my head. I was really pissed because I thought it was a stupid prank from one of my friends but when I looked back, it was her, with a playful face and a beautiful smile. Her smile gave me hope and drove away all the pain and sadness that was in me for a long time. It was on that day that I fell in love with her, that she was the love of my life. I texted her everyday for months but one day, she said she didn't feel interested in me anymore because it seemed she didn't want to settle for any long-term relationship. I was devastated, I couldn't sleep for days just sitting down and crying in my room. Up till now I've been carrying the pain I felt and I'm trying to be a better person, so that one day if we ever cross paths, I'd have my chance to confess and hope that she feels the same. Until then, I'll be harboring my hopes and keep working on myself to be better for me, and mainly for her.

Haven’t heard this song in a long while. I’m glad to be out of the place I was in back then, just goes to show just because something bad happens, doesn’t mean everything in life will be bad, live everyday like it’s your last, and have fun.

I'm not even an emotional person but listening to this on repeat while running has reminded me of my best friend that I lost over a year ago. She was my history teacher but since I'm basically a genius in history I would usually just assist her and teach the class, I'd stay after school, we'd out and eat it was so cool we were literally best friends, she told me to never call her "Teacher" instead just her name because she looks at me as the best friend she's ever had and I felt the same. I promised her I'd become the best lawyer on earth which I will. I finished high school in 2018 and moved to a different state in 2019 but I would visit occasionally and text her frequently. The last I saw her was on July 2020, she passed away on December 31st 2020. Although I've become much more passionate to achieve my ambitions because of this but part of my heart broke that day and it never really recovered. I'm a happy guy who lives a very good life, I party a ton and have fun but this song just brought back the nostalgia. If there was any writing mistakes here, I'm literally in tears rn and I won't ever open this but ay, I love you bff.
