A quick comparison between electric guitar overdrive pedals. Greer Lightspeed vs MXR Timmy vs Wampler Tumnas. I did this because it was hard for me to find any videos that compared any of these
Let me know if you’d like to see a more extensive comparison.
This guitar started as a Vintera Road Worn 50s Strat. I swapped out the neck and pickups to match an American original guitar.The strymon Volante helped get that mellow delay and the spring reverb in the deluxe reverb brought things to life even more. The pure vintage 59 pickups added a nice sparkle to the this light r&b vibe.

Fender Road Worn Vintera, Fender American original 60s neck, Fender Pure Vintage 59 Pickups, Fender Deluxe Reverb 68 Custom, Strymon Volante, Zvex Lofi Junky. Fender PBass, Gibson Les Paul, Studio One. Epiphone 335 guitar. Greer Lightspeed. Classic vibe telecaster. Seymour Duncan vintage style tele neck pickup. MXR Univibe. Sony a7sii.

I got a Timmy for $50 used. I also got a Duke of Tone. I couldn’t find a good tone in the Timmy with a bunch of guitars or drives stacked…the Duke is always on - great pedal.

Both Timmy versions sound almost identical to me.

I've tried both pedals in person. The MXR Timmy actually sounds better.

@jazmine Look up forum posts. The mxr is cheap and breaks it also has dead spots on the rotary knobs from factory. It's a Chinese knock-off (just an unfortunate official one).

@@CC-fi3pp don't care. pedals can be repaired and knobs can be replaced. it's a lot more difficult to change the sound. you're just giving into hype that drives the price of pedals up. Like I said, I've tried both in person for multiple weeks. Don't need to look at forums. I liked the MXR better

Nah, that's exactly how it sounded on my pedal board. Sent it back got me a lightspeed its the clear winner.

When you play your guitar while facing your amp, this has potential to create a feedback loop; which can be very dangerous for the guitar player. Your shit might take off man
