Scott Gross Brad Daugherty is still the best center for the Cavs. But if Timo continues to play and stay healthy for the Cavs, I would put him in the top 5 of best Cavs' centers.
ThoughtfulThug Agreed. You can make the obvious Z comparisons but Timo is generally more muscular, more physical, definitely plays well into the system and puts everyone else in their proper position... Now just let him play the 4th quarter!
This guy is the real deal. I love his game. His performance in the Finals has been shockingly strong. I may be crazy but I think this guy is a top 5 center in the League.
3DSDF I hope he heals well. I'd like to see him do well for many years to come. I'd also like to see him play with a team that doesn't do a lot of "going small" as the Cavs did toward the end of the Finals. I guess they had to adjust to that style in order to stay with Golden St.'s "small ball. In other words, I'd like T.M. to get a chance to show his true value. Not sure that Denver or Cleveland have been ideal. (not sure b/c, when he played in the Finals, he was fantastic!) If he continues to get better, he'll be an elite Center, if he already is not in that category. Thanks for posting and Happy 4th!
I missed quality talented Russian players in the NBA. I've become a big Moz fan. Dude is a badass. Saved the Cavs season n is making a bigger difference than Kevin Love.
Im not sure why you'd compare the two. Kevin Loves talent far surpasses Mozgovs. Kevins game is not fitting well with the cavs and as you know hes had to adapt. Mozgov is like a Robin Lopez, their performances before they got to the right team were suspect, not they are solid in the system they play in
I'm not comparing their games head to head. But Moz has made a bigger difference. Love is usually riding the bench in the 4th quarter of games while Moz is on the floor.
Before the trade from Denver to Cleveland,I had no idea just how good Timofey Mozgov is. He's a legit seven footer but runs the floor really well unlike guys like Bogut or Asik for example. He has a soft touch around the rim and can also knock down a mid range shot if open. On defense he can hold his own in the paint agaist strong big guys but also moves pretty good if he has to go outside the paint and rotate to the smaler guys. I wish he would get more shots though. Like I said he's really good !
Mozgov has really blossomed into a great big man in the league, I'm glad that he's gotten a bigger role with the Cavs compared to the Nuggets. Can't wait to see him play next season!
As a cavs fan i ahould prohbably say that when we had mozgov we had a much much better defense. Well now we merely even get that much blocks unlike before that we had mozgov.
Roland Salvador Top 3?? are you kidding. Better than Marc Gasol? Cousins?? AL Horford?? Deandre Jordan?? Dwight Howard?? Andre Drummond?? get the fuck outta here. God you're such a loser and you clearly know nothing about basketball. IDIOT.
rlystupidcomments Chill the fuck out, man. Haha. Just because he hasn't thought of other centers, doesn't mean he's a loser and know nothing about basketball. :) Just chill man.
The Cavs don't need big name players if you've got someone as efficient as him. The last time i saw a big man with this IQ and efficiency is Tim Duncan.! This guy's gonna make Lebron and the team better! ~
Myst Defy Because they are in a rebuild mode and belive a 20 year old Jusuf Nurkić is the center for the future. They got two pick in a trade also. Not sure if second or first round. Probably first.
