For those who don’t know, he didn’t attend a regular high school. He was at arguably the most competitive and exclusive music and performing arts high schools in the country.
And *this* was the standard of performance there at this supposedly competitive and exclusive music and performing arts high school? Jesus Christ. It would be embarrassing enough at a regular high school.
Paul King, the director of the legendary Paddington movies was the one who wanted him to play Wonka from this video only. Gotta love his sense of humor tho 😂
When I watch his interviews I always had the impression that he was the shy, introverted, anxiety problem having guy but this dude is on some other level.
Khaleesi Fuego a lot of theatre kids r super introverted unless they’re among other theatre kids. I performed on stage from ages 6-15 and had super bad anxiety that entire time but you get through preforming because if you actually are super anxious most of the time you slip into your stage ego a minute or so after you get on stage and don’t worry about the audience.
He's so low key nowadays, and he speaks so softly. Here he's like the most popular guy in the entire school regardless of grade, and his voice is so strong!
I think it's because he knows his friends so well at school so it's easy for him to be this wild whereas as he's famous, the whole world gets to see him so he's kinda low key I guess because of that
Somebody has three percent of his confidence, and that is timothee chalamet. They are but the same person. ITS LIKE A BEAST COMES OUT when he’s Timmy Tim
Can you believe a producer saw THIS video and translated this into inviting him to be Wonka. Without auditioning or looking at anyone else? Craziness. Can’t believe it worked
@@kennedy8555 we have rising stars which is like a talent show for all the majors. I mean it hasn't changed much but this shit only happens to popular people
And keep in mind that the director of the movie previously made Paddington. How insanely hilarious that the director of one of the most satisfying family entertainment saw this and be like "yeah that's my Wonka alright" 😂😂
This kid looks so happy and fully enjoying his life! I’m pregnant and watch this clip over and over hoping my baby will be like this Timmy Tim with this crazy level of confidence..would be never afraid of anything lol
His confidence is definitely what made him such a successful actor and person now! If you can do all of this in front of your whole school, and have that many people cheering for you and helping you, you were bound for success for real😂❤
I've been on a deep dive since seeing him in Lady Bird yearsss ago, then Call Me By Your Name and then Little Women last year (I was late to the party) and then took my KIDS to see Wonka last month, then finally watched Dune 1 and 2 in the last month and have been SO fascinated by this kid! I watched so many interviews and caught him mentioning rappers he liked, which stuck with me. When I read Christopher Nolan cast him in Wonka based on a video of a high school show, I knew there was more to him than the average person probably realized and now I really see it here. He's got great range. I think his mother is also a Broadway singer/performer though too, so he has a lot of art in his life already. Cut to me then learning he has dated Madonna's daughter, Johnny Depp's daughter and now he's dating Kylie Jenner.
Jennifer Lee No I didn’t, unfortunately:) I knew what song the next act was performing because at 3:59 onwards, I can hear the song “Sound of Silence”:))
@@soundcloudrappers6754 no its not. here he is playing a person he is not in real life (he said it himself that Lil Timmy Tim is a character he is created in high school . A CHARACTER he is created. not him). he is an actor is it that hard to understand? in interviews is him in real life
@@soundcloudrappers6754 in an interview you would be so nervous to answer everything correctly and think anything double because it's gonna remain for perpetuity
vanessa a i don’t think it’s an act bc he’s still pretty goofy in interviews just more on the lowkey. He was in hs at this time so he probably just grew up and he kinda has to care abt his image now a lot more now bc he’s an Oscar nominated actor after all.
bob 12 my guy as someone who used to preform if u have a moderate amount of self confidence in your abilities preforming on a stage is so much easier than just being in an interview or something. When you go on stage it’s literally like you become a different person. Like I hardly remember any moments on stage after the first minute. It’s all focusing on blocking and lines there’s no room to be anxious so you just slip into a different you.
Elise Vicino apparently he was very popular when he went to LaG, according to Ansel Elgort, though Timothée says Ansel was more popular and thats why he had to do the talent shows instead of being in the plays lmao
