Beethoven would have loved this! He was a rebel. In his day, piano music was methodical and played for the elite at parties where they could waltz to the rhythm. This would have been like showing up at the waltz and playing "Purple Haze". .. Which would have been great to see! 😎👍. I really like what you said about looking up to pure talent like Tina, and that a girl who plays guitar doesn't have to show off her body to get clicks or anything. I think what floors me about this cover is that there are multiple points where she's playing and she'll spend an extended period of time not even looking at the fretboard as she's going off. That's some absolutely insane muscle memory and it's jaw-dropping to watch. I personally think my favorite cover of hers is Steve Vai's "For The Love of God", but she's absolutely incredible here too.

Notice how many times she is playing with her eyes closed. You cut off the end of the video where just after she finished she flashed that smile!!! Would be nice to see her come back - amazing talent. Her video got over 40 million views on the Tina S channel.

Well said, good reaction. Yes a French prodigy, 17 in this video in 2016. . Some consider her the best. Classically trained since 6, switched to electric at 13. Last social media post was in 2018. Pretty much disappeared since then except she registered one person company in Nov/Dec 2020. A lot of speculation, most say she went to University, but no hard evidence. Welcome to Tina addiction !

Beethoven would have a hard time hearing her, since by the time he was midway through his career he was deaf. But he would be fascinated by the way her fingers glided across the fretboard. A few of his masterpieces were written after he became deaf. She and a few other women should be held as idols for today's youth, but don't hold your breath. Great review, thank you.

She started playing at age 6 or 8 on the classical guitar. So she has all those years of lessons and many many thousands of hours of playing. She is the best I have ever heard.

She was only 17 years old at the time, now check out through the fire and flames. She was 15 when she did that.

I've seen this video countless times and by far my favorite part is the last couple frames after she's done playing and she looks up at whoever's in the room and you can just see her eyes *blow up* with energy because she's *so* pumped by the run through, but then almost as quickly remembers to calm down again so that they can turn off the camera before she goes nuts over her performance. It's *thaaaaat* feeling that's 10x more potent than the strongest drug that has artists, true artists, do what they do, and it's why everyone else loves art so much, because we get to be able to taste just the tiniest amount of that through their work

What I love is that it's music. Not just notes. Awesome.

I fully agree with you: showing off your body means your guitar skills are not enough to attract the attention you are looking for. Tina S is way beyond that level, no need to show off her body or make the guitar loop around her head or anything, her talent and skills speak louder than anything else. The beauty is in the music and I can't get enough of it. Definitely an example for aspiring artists, who are not race horses so difficult to say what is the best (is it even relevant?), but after watching all the versions of that sonata I could find, no other guitar player comes close to Tina's level of beauty.

I have watched scores of people and their take on Tina. You, however, are the first to say how Tina is someone to look up to for aspiring young ladies and girls. Thank you for pointing that out. I love how she barely even looks at the neck of her guitar while she’s playing. That is priceless.

I've watched countless Tina S reaction videos and the average response has been dumbfounded speechlessness. Most of the time I've had to wait a full thirty seconds after the lightning speed guitar playing ceased before the reactor came to their senses enough to say something "brilliant" like, "Jeez, that was good wasn't it?" Actually, their silence spoke more eloquently about what they experienced than words ever could. This is what I think happens to us while watching Tina S covers. Our brains begin to roast when 450 degrees of Tina S quadruple-speed guitar virtuosity is applied to them. We have to hit the stop button every thirty seconds to allow a cooling process to take place lest our brains sizzle out of control and melt. Tina S is performing guitar shredding impossibilities right before our very eyes. Hence, our confusion. Tina S, in our minds, is just too dang young to be playing that good! The average person can't swallow the theory that practice alone got her to that level of amazingness. A gift from God? Probably. At least that's my view. There have been two good Tina S reaction responses that caught my eye. 1. I think the "S" in Tina S stands for SPED UP! 2. "Watching Tina S play should be the easy part and her playing should be the hard part. But my experience was that watching her was the hard part because her playing appeared to be the easy part." Weird. But true. Afterthoughts. Tina has been negatively accused of being emotionless while playing. Granted, she doesn't gush with emotion like your average rock guitarist but here are three reasons why she acts that way. REASON 1. Tina S is NOT a rock guitarist. She's a classically trained guitarist. Notice how she has her guitar propped up on her left leg. Classical guitar style all the way. Classical guitarists are prim and proper and subdued on stage. Tina is probably mimicking the great classical guitarist Segovia's expression while playing not Angus Young's. By the way, Tina IS expressing emotion, it's literally pouring out of her instrument. REASON 2. Tina is not performing on a rock stage with 30,000 lunatic fans expecting guitar virtuosity and gobs of emotion. She is performing in a simple studio with one cameraman as her audience. She doesn't need to perform rock star stunts like playing the guitar with her teeth, or setting it on fire, or biting off the heads of bats. She's just playing the damn thing! Better than anyone that I've ever seen. REASON 3. The third reason why Tina isn't showing emotion is because what she's doing is easy. Yes, easy. How much emotion do you show while tying your shoe laces? Zero. Right? Why? Because tying your shoes is easy. You don't grimace and squint and bite your lower lip while tying your shoes because you don't need to and it would be weird if you did. Tina doesn't grimace and squint and bite her lower lip while shredding the guitar because she doesn't need to. The end.

I've probably watched this clip more than 100 times and I've watched tons of reactions. EVERYBODY is blown away by Tina S. She's extra extraordinary. Sadly ... I've recently heard that she passed away in a car accident. I hope that's not true but nobody has heard or seen her in years.

Her covers of "For the love of God" from Steve Vai and "The Loner" from (I think one of the most underrated guitarist) Gary Moore, are my favorite. All her over covers are insane too : "Master of Puppets" from Metallica, "Through the fire and flames" Dragonforce...

i have two daughters and why they're not into the music - selection, they are incredibly moves by Tina's talent. One daughter, an artist - painting - has been so inspired by the song and f the hard work, she as had took at Tina that she's my daughter deep into studies and practice in her own art. So It's incredible that she's driven in and practice to the be the best. that she can be Thanks for showing this and 'letting me pass it to her, we'll see, but I have high hopes that it rubs off.

For anyone who is interested, y'all should check out a young female guitarist from China who goes by the name YOYO. She is absolutely amazing! Both her talent and technique are mind bending, to say the least. Her cover of the Andy James piece, Angel Of Darkness, will set your brain on fire and was recorded when YOYO was only 9 years old. Tina S. is a real treat to watch/listen to, as well. Keep rockin' and stay heavy 🤘

Personally I think Beethoven was the greatest composer that ever lived. And Tina does him proud. I mean, how do you get that good? It's not just her playing, but the composition itself is pure brilliance.

I've seen every one of Tina's videos. And I still keep coming back, why? Because I think she's the best female guitarist I've have ever seen. I love the comment that girls who like modern music, where the artist is average but uses celebrity to their advantage should of course be listened to, but not as an inspiration. Tina S is what girls & boys should aspire to be if they want to stand above the current musicians. Even if they cannot reach Tina's level, they would certainly learn more from learning bits of Tina's playing. Then they could use these bits to go in their own direction. I'm 55, I've played for 43 years, I will never have the natural gift that Tina has. I know talent when I see it, but this talent extraordinary.

Tina covered Dragonforce's Through the Fire and Flames and Herman Li's jaw basically dropped to the floor haha. Supposedly Tina went back to school to learn more and further her career. Hopefully we see more of her in the future though.

Tina is an amazing example of what dedication and hideous amounts of practice can accomplish. Even at such a young age, her skills were well beyond most professional guitar players. I hope she's out there somewhere melting faces, and living the good life.

After a few moments of listening to this young lady, Beethoven would slam his hands on the keyboard and say "Okay, fine! I quit! You Do it! I'm done!" And then he would sit back and enjoy the show, just like the rest of us!

She's been playing since her acoustic guitar was physically bigger than her. She started playing classical acoustic. She is a legend. Hope she comes back with some mind blowers soon. She hasn't uploaded a new song in several years.

So if you've ever heard the song "The devil went down to Georgia " Tina met the devil and played this and got 5 golden guitars and a free ticket to heaven.

For the Love of God (you will never hear anything else like it), Altitudes (puts on her own inimitable & brilliant spin that will take you into outer space), The Loner (the loneliest Loner), but all of her stuff is good. You can go back to it a hundred times & it never get old. It's as close to magic as you can get.

Sadly she did stop doing that because of internet bullying and it took it to a really personal lvl. But I hope she come back and now she is in her 20+ lives in France

Shes hitting about 8 notes a second... *on average* including the very "slow" parts. Shes probably up to 16 or maybe even 20 notes a second in the faster registers. Its god damn superhuman.

From what I've read up about Tina and therefore from my understanding she started playing from the age of 6 and has received classical training from the get go. I'm sure I also read somewhere that her teacher is not only a French guitarist in his own right, but apparently he is a genius in his own right. Although, with respect to Tina I don't know that for sure. All I do know is that like everyone else, I know she is one incredibly talented musician.

Started playing when she was 4 or 5. This was her last posting on RU-vid. She just quit and went to University. She is French. You ask if Beethoven would like it....this is the 3rd movement, and this is how it is played on the piano, with this intensity. She was/is amazing. I think she was 16 when she did this and she would be in her early 20's now.

Je suis français et j'ai suivi le parcours de Tina S. Son frère aîné avait déjà un très très haut niveau de guitare. Elle a abandonné la musique pour faire des études d'ingénieure dans une grande école française. C'est une pure virtuose avec un excellent instructeur à l'époque. Son père, d'origine slave, marié a une femme d'origine portugaise, est le gardien de nuit d'une grande école d'ingénieurs, un peu comme le M.I.T. aux USA.
