Tina was a hero, a true role model and inspiration. She was the kindest person, beautiful soul, beautiful inside and out. I miss her terribly, but she will always be in my heart and i will always love her❤
It is so cute when she answers his son's question about how she gets her hair like that. I was just a few years younger than that at the time and I remember wondering the same thing :).
Funny. I just accepted it. I actually believed she was an absolute natural blonde...even though she was mostly black. Looking at the cover of Private Dancer, I thought: "That's not typical..blonde hair...I guess some black people have blonde hair, too...she looks great...she's in my Mom's age group." I think the fact that her natural hair color was red-brown, was what made lightening it easier...redheads have no trouble bleaching their hair because the original color is so bright to begin with.
@@kamillion111977 Actually, that's what she did in the '60s and '70s. By 1980, Roger Davies (her manager) had encouraged her to get rid of the wigs, because it dated her, and she had hair of her own...the joke is, had she never had her hair fall out from a bad bleaching in the early '60s, she probably never would have worn wigs ever. When she did Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome, she stated that that was the first time in her life she'd ever had her hair bleached platinum blonde, and had her hairline shaved to look like a semi-mohawk. From The '80s to 1990, Tina wore her natural hair w/ a hairpiece cap at the top of her head, which gave it that lion's mane look. Throughout the '90s she went for the great D.A. shag wig look; then, in 2005 onward, created a mock-up wig of the same style she had in The '80s.
@@anthonyyoutubefan7567 actually it is a wig. She's stated several times in TV interviews including 60 minutes and her recent autobiography along with her previous one. Sorry not sure where you're getting your information from. Roger encouraged her getting rid of the longer wigs to a shorter shag style then developed them into a pseudo-punk rock/ Rod Stewart hybrid one to what's she's similarly wearing these days but back to original short shag.
She was good not to shatter the boys dream by admitting it was a wig. To be honest, not many black women have natural volumes of hair like this. There are images on google of Tina with her own hair and there wasn’t much of it. Afro.
