She still sounds the same because, as she would say, NO DRUGS, NO ALCOHOL. She has treated her instrument like it was valuable and purposeful and she looks and sounds AMAZING!
Going to say this Again. Most underrated singer/artist/performer of all time and ONE of the most hard working women in the music business, this women here had to fight to get to where she is now.
Yep true and Ms. Dionne Warwick is another one. It's a shame that Tina and Dionne is not recognized the way they should. I think I know why too because they ate both huge crossover artist!!!
@@Dino-su2wh Tina is a league of her own, super, mega, giga star... and career long 50 years (I do not know how long), Lady was singing in all the biggest stadiums, halls, winnnug Gramys and everithing that could be won. And stud away from yellow Press. That does not make her underrated, that makes her a classylady
Being a black woman doing something different, she is a bit underrated. In reality, she is THE QUEEN OF ROCK N ROLL! But, the major corporations will never coin her with this title in the states. But, even Janis Joplin said Tina was her inspiration. PROPS for the Tina review!!! Envogue is next.
Tina will always be one of my fav woman singers...Just love her....Actually I can't think of a woman singer I like better..Have to think on that...You Tina!!!!!!!You are simply the Best...!!!!!
Gladys Knight is another, the one and only Empress of Soul. She's is the epitome of class, grace, staying power, and elegance. Still as powerful if not better than she was before at 73! Must react to her "Neither one of us" & "The way we were" & "I who have nothing" 2000 version
Thanks for reacting to my video! Tina is definitely not underrated by money or anything like that (Heck, she's sold the most concert tickets ever I believe...) but when most people think about Tina Turner, they imagine her ''screaming like voice''. It's just the rasp that she has that probably makes people see her in a different league than most vocalists. Even though her range is bigger than Whitney and Celine. I really hope you'll do some more Tina vids in the future ;)
MusicLegendsChannel not bigger but wider... and not really... Celine’s highest note in her belts is a B5 or C6 and her highest head voice was a E6.. and whitney houston wasn’t fascinated wit range... she had the range and ability to do more... she loved vocal comfortability... not discrediting tina but just calling facts
To everyone telling me (my second channel is MusicLegendsChannel) that she is not underrated. She is. Not by money or succes. She is one of the most succesfull artists ever. She is underrated vocally though. A LOT! So many people think of Tina's voice in a screaming way. Somehow they think that she's screaming instead of sining. Especially today, she does not get the same recognision as some who have had a much less succesful career. When people hear the name Tina Turner, they don't thing of a vocally amazing artist. If you do, you're probably a fan like me. And also someone was implying that I hadn't seen all of her world tours... They are in the freaking vid... If anyone has spent too much time watching Tina perform live, it's me, thanks!
QuinnSourMouth not to sound rude but the video title says “underrated artist”, not “vocalist” so any confusion is because of the title because those words don’t mean the same thing.
Glad u load this. There's are other performances that or so great that most of the young people will never know. Even at 78 she still got it. I remember in the 70s, ike broke her jaw an still still got up an perform, not once complain. Tina got the respect an " truly" notice much to late in life. Right around the foreign Affair album is when the industry started to appreciate her voice. This woman has work so hard even doing free shows just to get her name out there. An u got singers today who wouldn't go on stage with a cold lol. Tina is truly a supernova
Yes! Great video.Tina is the real QUEEN of Rock N Roll and Rosetta is the Godmother: ) She is one of my favorite artists and a lot of people don't know how versatile her voice is as well. She can sing the crap out of Soul and pop music (y'all heard that in the video), rock n roll (i.e one of my favorites, You Got What You Wanted), and smooth R&B (I.E Something Beautiful Remains).
Definetely underrated..this gorgeous talented black phoenix has worked her heels off to bring us great music and performance. The States turned its back on her..but Europe received her with open arms. You are right..Ina world of new singers sampling covering and looking like copies of one another Tina Turner has been always since the 60 s a one of a kind phenomenon. There s no one and there will never be anyone as sexy raw uninhibited sexy and exciting as her. All that talent and beauty in a 5.4 inch frame. Tina is without a doubt one of the World s Wonders. I love your reaction..it moved to tears because of what you saw felt and said..i hope people would see how great she is. Beautiful video. Thank you
One of my favorite singers of all time. Tina! Patti! Gladys! Aretha! Whitney! Chaka! Mariah! I haven't had a favorite since them but Brandy and Beyonce are great
Thanks for doing this, such a classy lady ! she will Forever be the queen of rock’n’roll , it’s true she is underrated but also very successful, once you see Tina in concert , you will never see a better show! That voice is like diamonds dipped in honey lol
Thank so so much for doing this. I have been a fan of Tina since I was two, and always felt she is so underrated as a singer, the emotion, the conviction she puts in her songs. Her Goldeneye makes you wish she was a villain in a Bond movie. There is a reason she is the QUEEN of Rock, a contralto too
I love Tina but I don't think that she's underrated since she's one of the most influential, commercially successful and critically acclaimed singers of all time...
Nlop exactly. People don’t understand what underrated means. Everyone knows at least one of her songs. She’s one of the mist influential artists ever. She has broken so many concert records how is that being underrated?
By underrated, I think he means as far as her vocals. We all know Tina is an icon but she is often recognized for her entertaining and her showmanship. A lot of people don't recognize her for awesome vocal ability.
I love this woman sooo much, she is such an inspiration, amazing singer and performer, and has the best legs in the industry. Also justthevoice in those 2009 clips where she is 69 she had lisa fisher as a backing singer
Tina Turner is my idol. I love her. Entertainer of the Century in my eyes and she deserved so much more. Her voice was amazing. Thunderdome is one of my all time favorite songs.
Lisa Fischer was her background vocalist on many of those performances and they swapped leads on Its Only Rock And Roll ... superb ... they both killed it! Tina is a force to be reckoned with!!!
Underrated? Are you kidding. Tina has sold out Arenas that Aretha, Patti, or Gladys Knight can't fill. You should do more research, Tina received the top Kennedy Honors. In order to receive that award you must be worldly influential and the top of your craft. THE QUEEN OF ROCK is her title. I've enjoyed your other videos. I encouraged you to research Tina more, and you'll see she will never be underrated.
He reacts to the videos that OTHER people have created. He goes on to say she is a legend and that 'these young people don't know what they're talking about'. I love this because it showcases a voice that lasts decades. ✌
Tina's heyday lasted decades upon decades upon decades. Just because people weren't born yet doesn't make her underrated. I bear witness to the takeover that was Tina Turner. The absolute epitome of a performer. She kicked the door down and definitely made it to the mountain top. I love her.
How tf is Tina Turner an underrated artist?! She’s broken Guinness world records. She’s one of the best selling artist of all time. She has won 8 Grammys. She has also received 3 Grammy Hall of Fame Awards and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, giving her a total of 12 Grammys. She’s a Kennedy Center Honors recipient. Which is like the biggest award you can get as an artist in this country. They made a movie about her life. There’s a musical about her life that’s showing in 5 countries right now including Broadway. Just had a HBO documentary about her. She’s has been inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame twice. And she’s THE QUEEN OF ROCK n ROLL
She has NEVER been underrated. Nor overrated... Love that you compared her to James Brown. Ike trained her to growl or "preach the house down". She could sing but he wanted her to tear it up... And she does. Tina the rock Queen!
Congratulations and thanks JustTheVoice! 50% of the video is Tina herself and nobody would question that, but the other 50 % is totally yours, and it is intelligent, classy and necessary. Thanks again!
Underrated? Wtf The woman has sold over 200 million records worldwide, won 12 TWELVE Grammys, multiple AMAwards, MTV awards, shes a Kennedy Center Honoree, rocknroll hall of fame inductee, 32 years later still holds the world record for the biggest paying audience for a single concert-188k ppl in one stadium in one night, retired 10 years ago and still holds the record for having sold the most concert tickets than any other solo artist in history, male or female, received the highest awards from the Government of France, Germany, England and the list goes on. Had the top grossing musical in Europe in 2019, its going to be on Broadway in 2020. Very underrated indeed LOL
What a beautiful video. Full of respect for Tina. She really is an icon of music, but I agree with you about her being underrated. She is far most amazing than charts can show.
Poor Tina Turner Suffered one last Dehabilitating Stroke after Surviving High Blood Pressure a Stroke after Marriage Intestinal Stomach Cancer then Kidney Failure Tina could not Talk Eat Drink Sleep in the End She was Cremated.😢😢😢😢😢😢
I saw her in concert in 1987 it was one of the best concerts i have ever seen she looked good back then she still looks good and those legs good lord woman has good legs. I am a woman i aint afraid to say when someone looks damn good.
She was underrated in comparison to Aretha, etc but the Rock n Roll world WORSHIPPED her. She was different from Aretha as the QUEEN of Rock. She was embraced by David Bowie, Rod Stewart, Rolling Stones, etc. Rock Soul was her lane. FYI her younger years (first video) she was still in a domestic violent relationship with Ike Turner).
Underrated? Please, Mama Tina is a the greatest female RAW PERFORMER of ALL time. That lady was doing 100 - 250 shows per tour. Grossing hundreds of millions of dollars and selling out stadiums (in record breaking numbers) back in her hey day. When she was young, girlfriend would get her ass BEAT literally (by Ike Turner) and still get on that stage, and kill it. I love how she got rid of him, got her life back on track and didn't reach her peak until her late 40's/50's. That is rare. She was way better in her 50's then she was in her 30's. Longevity.
Thanks for posting! Please react to Tina Turner's live performance of "A Change Is Gonna Come" with Robert Cray which can be found on youtube by typing A Change Is Gonna Come Tina Turner Robert Cray.AVI and you will see Tina's gospel and blues power in her vocals just like Aretha, Patti, and Gladys do when they perform. People sleep on Tina being a powerhouse soul singer but she is definitely one of the best. The link is ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_1pk6E8K9ZE.html
If it is mot too much to ask..could you do more video reaction to Tina s performances...for example What svlove got to do..atvtthe Grammy s 1985 Private Dancer at Private Dancer Live 1985 in Birmingham Jumping jack flash / it s only rock and roll/ Acid Queen..1982 from Nice and Rough A change is gonna come from the Break Every Rule special in Paris Heard it through the grapevine at the 24/7 tour in London. I would love to hear what you have to say and your reactions are priceless.. By the way the voice you were praising on the Proud Mary video 1982 belonged to the late keyboard playee Kenny Moore..Tina s right hand and best friend. Could you also do a video on her video the Best
Love your video!!! But - TINA underrated??? How can one of the greatest succesful and hard-working women of music be underrated? She is the Queen and treasured by the world
Thanx for this reaction, I might actually add that she's actually a contralto. It's interesting you say that her rasp went away with age, actually not, I used to think the same way but I realized that it depends on the material, her later songs were arranged very differently from the early ones, I ke usually had her singing in keys that were too high and it seems that made the rasp more noticeable. The rasp has stayed with her though, it's more obvious when she's singing live.
