Saying this yeast infection is caused by not maintaining hygiene and will go away 100% if you maintain hygiene is dumb coming from a dermatologist. You out of all the people should know that the yeast malassezia is found on almost all of the adults but it's harmless. For some people certain things can trigger it to go haywire, such as weather, compromised immune system, some other underlying conditions, long term antibiotic medication etc, it's not just about hygiene. 🤦 Some doctors these days. SMH.
In a sense it is true, I worked for a tire business and sometimes I wouldn't take a shower after work because I was too tired, I ended getting bad fungus infection on my arms.

My experience confirms what the doctor said. Parts of my skin where I can soap and rub clean has no tinea versicolor. Those I cant like back, they pop up there.
Yaa right completey agree with you i went to alot of dermatologist they always prescribed me tons of medicine and it effected my digestive system and it burnt my skin as well doctors always said that it is due to not maintaining your hygiene but it was lie I took 2 times bath a day and always kept myself clean but till today I am suffering from this problem
I have some white and red dry patches on my feet and hand knuckle, elbow and knee from past 10 years .I have consulted so many dermatologist but it doesn't cure.It starts in summer only not in winter.plz help me to find which disease is it and what should I do now
It's all depends upon your skin and which infection do you have..... before starting any medicine please do visit Rohit sir. As you are asking I am sharing my medicine.... Flucon tablet 1 in week, lolifin lotion on affected skin, use ketaconazol wash or mild soap, and multi vitamin supplements specially vitamin D supplements,no luffah and no scrub, and one ayurvedic remedies from youtube comment suggestion use bakuchi oil on affected area and take sunlight for 10 min it was effective. My fungal infection was very mild, you can also try this but please take expert Dr Rohit batra's advice before taking treatment.

Use karpin lotion...I have used kz lotion katacenozon and keto soap...it's all temporary medicine...but karpin in permanent And intestinal worms tablet 1 time twice in a year
I’ve had this for 15 years and it only got worse. I’ve been using selsun blue 1% selenium sulfide and it has never gotten better. I’ve used it all kinds of ways like, leaving it on over night. That was a big mistake it burned and stained my skin. I’ve also put it on for 15 mins and rinse it off but it doesn’t work. The only way it leaves me feeling clean, I guess, put it on for 15 mins get in the shower lather it then rinse it and buff my skin with a soft cotton rag doused in sensitive dove soap. And then I rinse. If I don’t do it that way I will remain itchy and completely uncomfortable. I use it everyday. I’ve even taken breaks from it as advised and my skin flares up like no other. My skin remains red, itchy, and scaly at all times. My whole face is covered in a layer of TV and so is my neck and the creases of my inner elbows. It wasn’t always my face but it seems like it’s here to stay. My face is extremely shiny and oily, I can probably fill a couple of table spoons by the end of the day. I’ve went to dermatologist all my life non seem to care here in the US! Trust me they don’t care because according to them it’s easily treatable and non life threatening. I’ve been prescribed selenium sulfide 2.5 and it doesn’t make a difference it’s just time consuming and inconvenient because they come in small bottles and I have it really large areas, the bottle doesn’t last long. Plus, you can only get it prescribed here in the US! And at one point drs don’t wanna prescribe it anymore. 15 years ago I used the famous ketoconozole pills and ingested them and worked out As advised by my dr. I use the cream form to and it didn’t work. After that cream I religiously use clotrimizole cream and it doesn’t do anything but I feel comfortable and that’s it. It doesn’t do anything. There was a period of time where I felt my routine was working because the affected areas would dry up and virtually fall off and my skin would clear after 3 days. Those days were over quick and only lasted a couple of years. I wish I had it that way now. I’ve tried the famous diets and all but they didn’t work. I made one amazing observation where it went away for a whole month and I was finally happy for a long period of time. I had an infection and was givin azithromicin which cleared my skin for one whole month, coincidentally. My dermatologist said it was just a coincidence and nothing more. I did my research and what he said made sense but that’s exactly what happen to my TV. I had two other separate occasions where I took antibiotics like azithromicin and again it cleared my skin for 1 month. I was happy. Exactly after a month my TV came back like normal and never went away. It’s the worst it’s ever been. And I live in a very low humidity area. I shower twice a day. The Drs gave me the impression that I was overreacting but they have never and will never live with it like I do. No one seems to care because I’m not dying. I lost all hope. I’ve spent thousands on selsun blue shampoos and I will continue to with no positive results. It just keeps me sane thinking I’m doing something about it. My neck and face pigmentation does no match the rest of the skin on my body. All I have to say is, help! 😔
I forgot to mention that on my face it looks like there’s a very fine film of seran wrap placed and when I laugh or make an expression it wrinkles up and is noticeable more. I know I’m getting older but when it’s not completely flared up it doesn’t look like there’s seran wrap on my face.
Hello... They say it's yeast that has overgrown... I've had this since I was a child and the dandruff shampoo seem to work... But also I have drank a teaspoon on apple cider vinegar with a glass of water and it has helped me incredibly... In my case I know that eating so much sugar in my diet messes my digestion and other areas... Also read that coconut oil and tea tree oil help fighting fungus. I hope you get better
I have a very small patch on my neck of it. Doctor gave me fluconazole tablets( just two), candit clotrimazole cream and whit care cream. Says normal skin color will return in 3-4 months
@@vinayraj718 take 2 fluconazole tablets( 1 every week) and apply candid clotrimazole cream on that area...It will go away in 1 month..normal skin will return too
@@iamnoone78647 I have it all the time actually. I never realise that because it's at my back. I live in south east asia, which is hot and humid all year round.
@June Bug I went to the doctor eventually and he prescribed me some antifungal medicine and it becomes better. However I also have it on my left buttcheek and he doesn't really know what causes it over there. Probably I'll give blue star ointment a try.
I was suffering from Tinea versicolor 2 years ago when I was 10 years old. My parents realized that and take me to doctor. Doctor gave me ' Chlotramazol and selfine sulfide Lotion' In just 15 days I fully recovered, So, I recommend you all who are now suffering From Tinea versicolor This is best lotion Thank You
DOES THE DISCOLORATION CAUSED BY FUNGUS WILL RETURN TO NORMAL AFTER TREATMENT? IF YES HOW MANY MONTHS FOR THE INFECTED SKIN TO RETURN TO ITS ORIGINAL COLOR. SORRY MY KEYBOARD IS ALWAYS AT CAPS LOCK
The fungus will die in 2-3 weeks but you must continue the medication forever after that just 2-3 times a week and your skin colour should start returning after 3 months
Why no mention of antibiotics and poor gut bacteria? My husband shower twice every day and finally we have a answer for him... Fluconazole 150 strength. Just ask your doctor. This can happen after taking antibiotics without probiotics.
I would look into skin laser resurfacing. Sorta like when someone wants to remove a tattoo. If the fungus is gone then the oral treatment is not needed. There's no fungus anymore, nor will the shampoos work. It's all about getting your skin back to it's even and normal pigmentation.
Yea exactly do you know exactly what treatments are best for this? I started red light therapy but I’m wondering if there’s a better option to help get the natural pigment back?!
@@Raywillsmith Did you ask the Doctor who is giving you the red light treatment if they used it on other people before and if it actually worked? I may contact doctors overseas for the matter because they get to experiment more than the doctors in the U.S.A.
@@scorpsinger yes ive heard multiple testimonials that the red light therapy completely fixed the issue in 8 weeks, 4 treatments a week 10-20 mins each.
@@amirss9664 no but i used a mixture of coconut oil and Bakuchi oil and it went away in two weeks it was like a miracle. You apply the mixture and then sit in the sun for 5-10 mins.

"if you wash yourself daily and at the same time you dry yourself after taking a bath, such yeast infection doesn't occur at all". So how come millions of people that wash/dry themselves daily have this yeast infection??? You call yourself a Doctor??? Wow.
i found i had to clean my bedding and towels more ofter i have this on my back and has cleared since i improved this and invested in a good scrubber and got a cheap cream
@@ii-abdevilliers-ii8913 uv should kill the fungus. And it does work like medicine i have tested the it. Also the pillow or towell that has fungus it them are recomended to put in sunlight to kill the fungus in them.
@@mayanksharma5548 may be it did kill to some extent. Because the areas that were exposed to sun of my ears cured faster. Although sunlight might also give alergic skin which helps fungus spread easy. I dont know. I am not a skin doctor. Dont ask me. Bye.
I have a this on my face... N scalp With tan discoloration n white patches yellow lines patch on face... Initially, I thought it's pigmentation But looks something else like usual discoloration And it grows slows Now almost spreads like anything
@@jaannjaannaaa7310 I used the medicated one, and within like two weeks it was all go, it did require being in Mexico and getting a tan for it to really work tho 😅😂
