i .candy I feel you. Completely. Last time I went was last weekend and I was in line at the Haunted Mansion, right at the gates in the evening, and then I saw Jack and Sally. He complimented my outfit as he walked by and I really wanted to take a pic with him but my family kept ushering me through the line. And we aren't gonna back for a long, long time. )= I, too, was sad.
Sounds like a really good idea. Or maybe go with one friend. That's the best way to go to any major park. I did that last year when I went to Universal Studios.
It would be amazing if the actors could coordinate something like this on their own every once in a while. They could make a situation up in the beginning of the day, then mention it to 10 or so people they think might bring it up when they reach the other character. One of those people would be bound to ask them about it, and it could cause a great scene. If this has actually happened for anyone, I really want to know.
I heard about this one time where Peter Pan made an inside joke with Aladdin (I'm just going to say it was about a blueberry, I can't remember) and while waiting in line for Aladdin, Peter Pan ran up to a random person and told them to say blueberry to Aladdin. They did and Aladdin apparently broke character from laughing so hard.
Oh, yes! Things like this happen all the time at the parks! I think it keeps the "friends" of the characters entertained. The times the characters have interacted through me haven't been as hilarious or as big a scene as these, but once Merida told me that Peter Pan had called her dress a wash cloth so she'd shouted at him that he wears girly tights. She told me to tell him he's gammy and has no friends and when I told him this and he laughed and said "You're friends with THAT woman? Hah! That sounds like something she would say!" One of my favorite stories is from a youtube video where a Cast Member in Fantasy Faire kept telling guests that Merida was being mean to him and he was sending them over to tell her to stop being mean... finally she'd had enough and she shouted at him from across the entire faire "YOU'RE IN SO MUCH TROUBLE NATHAN!!" and they shouted back and forth for like 5 minutes. It was a huge scene and guests passing by looked so confused haha!! It's one of my favorite videos ever!
If they made Disneyland soap operas, I would watch the heck out of it! You know, pit like Mary Poppins against Peter Pan or something. Sounds interesting, I'd watch it!
I never noticed it until I read your comment and now I hear it everytime an it seriously cracks me up lol. I think its the best part besides the face tink makes from 2:50 to 2:55. It's pitiful and adorable all at the same time. Makes you want to hug her lol.
Oh my gosh! He'd be the funnest character to play! :) He could say anything about anything and not make any sense or not even finish his story and then go on the the next thing and it would all still be in character. Haha. :D
For some reason this made me laugh. Two random things they said killed me it was so funny. In the beginning, Mad Hatter: "She brought me to her size... about..*tries to use hand to show but fails*... small". Also, in the end Alice: "What good is a mushroom if it can't make me grow or shri- where did he go?" LMAO
Crystal Angel Fun is definitely there I think, but a lot of hard work as well. I'm thinking they need to go through lots of training to get the character right. Also, they'd have to stay in character throughout the whole time they're in the costume. A lot of people probably also try to make them break character as well so it's be super tough to do that, in my opinion ^^
Faul Pelz I'm sure it is fun, but it's also hard work, not to mention dealing with the heat of either Florida or Southern California. Imagine, wearing a full costume suit like Mickey Mouse in the middle of summer. Either those suits have air conditioning or the actors are really tolerant of the heat.
andrewk9000 I can tell you there is no air conditioning. One of my best friends is friends with Mickey for many things (Opening new areas special events and sometimes parade or meet 'n greets.) and she said (Yes, most all Mickeys, Minnies, Donalds and Daisys are female.) that you just have to sweat it out. Most of the time over here in florida, the Furs (Short for Fur Characters.) are indoors or somewhere cool. Most of the time they train outside though but I have more than a few friends who are stilt walkers/dancers that have passed out in the 95+ summer heat. I guess it's an occupational hazard
I can't even imagine what these performers go threw on a daily basis, it's amazing how not only they bring these characters to life but coordinate with amongst themselves the situations they twine themselves in with patrons and bring them involved.
lol I love how Tink was like "well maybe I can tinker him up something like maybe something to put his mustard in since he loves it". When the hatter always says "MUSTARD...Don't let's be silly. Lemon that's different". He likes Lemon, not Mustard. haha, but I love this vid. these cast members were so good playing the characters
Oh, man, I LOVE Tinker Bell! I gotta visit Disney again so I can checkout Pixie Hollow! Especially since I missed Ariel's Grotto and Ariel is my other DIsney fave!
I showed this video to my little cousin, since then he hasn't stop laughing like Grassy and doing the exact same facial expressions as he does. I had never been so proud of my little kid.
That was so cute. I can see why I had so much fun at Disneyland when I was a kid. The first character I saw was Cinderella and I couldn't believe it haha. I was a really shy girl but I was definitely not shy when I saw her. Can't wait to take my kids here someday.
Awww the girl hanging out with tink usually hangs out with alice, she is such an amaaaaaaaazing, amazing friend of alice's. She's so beautiful and hilarious. First time I've seen her spending quality time with tink, love it!
I love these videos. Whenever I have a bad day I know I can log on and these will always make me at least smile if not laugh until I can"t breathe. Thank you!!!
Your videos have made me love the Mad Hatter actor so much, I want to meet this particular one. The super cool and silly one that nails the Disney Cartoon movie down.
I love when she says, "well what good is a mushroom if it doens't make you shrink or grow, where did he go?" xD that was the best. I had to watch it a second time.
