Tinnitus Soother is Mid-Range Focused 5500Hz Noise

The Tinnitus Soother is noise focused in a frequency range of 5500Hz. Now released is the 10 Hour Soother V.2 without the intro voice • Tinnitus Soother 2 Noi... . The Soother is a lower range than the previous releases The Tinnitus Flosser at 8000 Hz • Tinnitus Flosser Maske... and The Tinnitus Scrubber filtered sweeping noise • Tinnitus Scrubber is H... .
The creation concept is based on disrupting ringing in one's head by introducing a new sound, noise in this case, to distract the mind away from the ringing. Some contemporary research on "T" suggests the mind is auto completing the ringing well after the damage has occurred. There are custom sounds created for individuals by audio therapists for this purpose.
Some listeners have commented their ringing is in the 5.5kHz range and this creation is an attempt to offer relief to those people.
There is no cure for Tinnitus and other listening afflictions at this time. Please don't expect miracle, just a little relief.
There is a fair amount of research going on and perhaps a breakthrough is on the not-so-distant horizon. Occasionally spammy comments pop up claiming relief. Your comments about personal experience, struggle and discovery on the subject are welcome. I try to read every comment and respond to as many as possible.
Seeking out an audiologist for Tinnitus is a good idea.
Thanks as always for listening, Dale

The lower Khz have more punch to them...I've listened to the highest Khz recordings there are, but my "ring " is much higher than that, even. It's higher than i could actually hear,...but it's in there. But this blocks it out better , like a waterfall blocking out a.....high pitch frequency. Will try this tonite. Thanks ! P.S. this one has more frequency punch than your newer longer one.I took a commenters advice and dropped it down to .25 speed. there's something there...it occasionally hits my frequency. I hope it kills it...if ya get my drift.

This happens to me as well, but the reduced tinnitus volume lasts maybe a minute and then roars back worse than before. Loud masking noises suppress the sound temporarily but ultimately can make it worse.

Found my tone like this shortly after getting T and it showed me that by listening we can at least at times quiet the T. Thank you first of all. I guess I’m the first to leave a comment!! This sort of tinnitus masking is what helps me the most. The “hissing static” sound is the only type of sound that relieves my severely loud tinnitus ringing. My level of ringing is very loud and has been told to me by my audiologist that it is the equivalent of standing next to tornado siren.. but not being able to move or walk away. It’s been hell like. It is similar to the sound of the locusts and cicadas chirping/singing at night. Millions of them. Some days I don’t think I can make it through. It’s that debilitating. Thank you again for your consistent and persistent help to find new ways to try to help us relieve these awful sounds. God bless you for caring. ❤️🙏🏼😊

That sounds like hell, I hope you are able to find some relief! The treatment device from Susan Shore at University of Michigan could be available in the near future, in some studies it sounds like was able to reduce intensity by something like 50%, in certain cases, using an earbud and two neck electrodes. If not that, hopefully some other form of treatment in the future. Until then at least we have folks like Dale Snale to provide some comfort...

Just for the feedback, I confirm that my tinnitus is not 100% masked by this one. The 8K one does a better job, this one somewhat works but I still hear something in the "upper" part of it. It is weird to describe. Tinnitus is something you get used to, but I do wonder at times how it would feel to just hear fucking silence in a silent room. Just one time.

@@dalesnale 11/17/1997 after a car crash where my son and I were rear ended at a stop light at 35mph. It totaled my car, broke the seat back, and wrecked my neck for the next 2 years. The crash sounded like a bomb went off in the back seat. I was on 10mg daily Lexapro for 12 years and it helped immensely. But it has terrible side effects. Most school shooters were on SSRI drugs. The stuff might help lots of people but the fine print shows bad effects that I had. It took 3 years to get off Lexapro and have severe random head rushes quit. Dealing with this for 24 years is bad enough but in the last few months the perceived volume has been exceeding what I considered to be 100%. At the moment, I am at 140% of what I used to think was maximum.

Hoffnungsvoll

I've had a ringing in my ears for about 10 years now, it's slowly been getting louder over time, but it doesn't bother me, I can ignore it mostly. I listened to this for about 5 minutes on a high volume and closed my eyes and relaxed, then I clicked the mute button and heard as close to silence as I can remember for about 3 minutes and then the ring slowly crept back in. Will definitely continue listening, even if the relief is only temporary, it is still a relief.

This is very close to my tinnitus. I describe it as cicadas, which, btw, have plagued my home this year. 😩 This sound increases my anxiety, so I’ll keep trying others. Thank you for your work.

This is my perfect frequency mask I've had tinnitus for over 10 years now, constant in both ears (ex military damage). I find when I am anxious, stressed, tired (brought on mainly by the constant noise) it just gets worse. Depression can be a big factor because of the sleepless nights and subsequently becomes worse over time. I find stimulating the ear canals with high frequencies like this can dissipate it somewhat. That being said, massaging the areas around my ears can also stimulate the brain receptors between the middle and inner ear and can also relieve the noise to a more comfortable level. Waking up those sleeping nerve hairs in the cochlea is key. The damage is permanent, but this sort of noise helps massively and shrouds the constant nagging in my head. Thank you for supplying this video, I find it can help tremendously.

Yes .. that’s very close to my frequency.. it’s funny how we can tolerate this listening to it .. but drives us mad.when we hear it in our brain.. it ver similar to the sound of crickets or cicadas which I also find soothing. Thank for caring & posting. This would be a great frequency for sound generators. But after listening to the 8000hz one I think it’s closer.

Out of the dozens of the hundreds of masking tracks and other solutions I have tried this is the first that has had any effect on my tinnitus at all. The effect is masking but after 30 or more seconds the effect is like cotton in my ears. The tinnitus is reduced by 75% which is significant. Best way to describe it is it's muffled. Not what I was expecting but I suppose better than nothing.

I have been listening to some of the other videos at night. None of them quite help. I came across this one this morning and I was able to sleep for a few hours! I had been trying a lot of different supplements, all with out much effect. I've tried other sounds but this one seems to mimic my tinnitus spot on. I do also have a ticking sound but I have to say that listening to this for an hour or so really does quiet them both down to a tolerable level. As an aside, when I was researching for relief I did read a couple of articles where they write about people developing tinnitus after getting covid vaccine. I know for me the ticking started right after my first shot and the minor hissing I had got a lot worse. Thanks for your work on this. It's helped a lot. hopefully it will continue to do so.

Spent this morning going through various sounds / frequencies…..and was somewhat alarmed & confused as I was unable to even hear the higher frequencies. I know I do have hearing loss coupled with decades of tinnitus. About 3 weeks ago I was fitted etc. with hearing aids and indeed……I like being able to ‘hear’. However, the morning-after wearing the aids all day, my tinnitus is bordering on maddening--sooo loud, enraged, and abusive! With this 5.5 frequency I am excited as I hear it well and find it comfortable ‘masking’…….soothing, calming, & somewhat relieving. Am truly appreciative of all the work, concepts, & efforts of this terrific channel, and look forward to further reducing ‘ear noise’ along with enhanced ‘head peace & quiet’. Right now, this 5500Hz is a spot-on & welcome camouflage ……👍

Aah haa! Thank-you so much!! I’ve just been going through many ‘sound’ videos and, as you’ve noted, I simply cannot hear the higher frequencies 😳……so, I’ll now overtly seek out the lower. This one masks well & comfortably, tho I must set volume a bit high. Will continue perusing your great library 👍
