Hi guys! Welcome to my tiny apartment tour!
As a digital interior designer, I'd like to share some of my tricks on how to maximize your living space!

the overhead storage is mainly used for items that I rarely use, such as seasonal clothes :)

This is such a fantastic space! So spacious and airy despite being rather tiny, it just looks so much bigger! My compliments especially on the clever organization and storage hacks!! A lot of small spaces have "no stuff" and nowhere to put anything, but this seems perfectly livable and practical - while still looking great! Impressive. :)

very nice apartment-I have similer size studio flat up to 25 m2 -live here nearly 10 years -I love it. As you said you do not need separate room for bed,kitchen, study ...I created space where I have fully function kitchen , sitting space , big dinner table up to 5 people even I have "gest room" as I very rare using other side of my king size bed so this space with little closed is for my friend. I prefere to have luxury generes "hotel" look so central on my apartment is big,big king size bez made from 2 singel beds- and is work perfectly for me .

It looks heavy as well. I hadn't seen a Murphy bed without pneumatic support before. And there's no latch to keep if from falling off. I wonder if it's a DIY.

Really cool space! Just last year I lived in a studio even smaller. Although my layout it was not quite as multifunctional as yours, it was still exceptionally efficient, and made me greatly appreciate the few things I own and understand how excess material things don't equal happiness. It was also extremely rewarding to devise ways to make the space more useful, and thus more appealing which ultimately made it very personal and unique. Plus the rent was cheap!

What a great use of space. I like that even though he had a murphy bed, he acknowledged that people usually don't want to continually transform their space daily and he had a second smaller desk. The kitchen made me a little anxious, and I was wondering what size fridge he had, but overall it was fantastic.

Great apartment! the problem that crosses my mind tho is if your renting (assuming you haven't bought this space) or especially as someone in their 20s traveling from city/moving about a loot investments like the foldable bed and all the hanging hooks and other minutia all seem like a big investment, add to that any damages you might cause to the walls installing/screwing a loot of the "flexible storage'" stuff

This is such an incredible use of space! I love tiny houses and absolutely adore the idea of Murphy beds for tiny spaces. The funny thing is that in order to get a Murphy bed, it typically means you don’t have much space and therefore much money, but Murphy beds are always over $1000 dollars to buy. The fact that you built your own Murphy bed is awesome!

Thank you so much! I hope that commercialized murphybeds are getting more affordable too while providing safety and an effortless use. My design was tailored to me; I really needed the desk conversion option. However, I would not recommend this bed to someone who might have back problems. This design kind of forces you to stay fit ^^

The murphy bed with the writing table is a cool idea. I also think that the weights are kind of neat and sculptural...but in LA, we have earthquakes...so there's no way those can sit anywhere but the floor!

In case you are referring to the dumbbells: they sit on a shelve that is slightly inclined towards to wall: so the can't really fall down. :)

*interesting, I've noticed a recurring trend, that many architects seem to wanna live small, yet functional.* the Netflix documentary *Minimalism* is sort of akin to this, its a great watch, I only wish more people lived this way.

ASDDASADSS ASDASDDASASDD small spaces have more constrains which makes us more creative. I think that’s why we appreciate small and functional over vast spaces that don’t really work 😄

Multi function makes more sense. One person only needs about 200 to 300 square feet. One can easily roll up some thick blankets and sleep on those on the floor and put them away when you wake up. Also, we don't need a giant fridge, oven, dryer. You can hand dry the clothes while you sleep and they are dry before you wake up. We waste so much of our lives paying for expensive housing. Many of the laws make it illegal to build, buy or rent inexpensive housing so we are actually forced sell ourselves into indentured servitude to do jobs we don't like out of fear when we should be finding work we enjoy. Somewhere around 90% of people are unsatisfied with their work and I believe housing as a foundational role in that due to the cost and the laws.

It is literally a form of slavery if you outlaw self sufficient housing and self sufficient housing are houses you can buy (or rent) which are around 200 to 300 square feet. I am planning on getting into real-estate development in a few years and building 200-300 square foot monolithic dome houses for either purchase or rent (not sure). I would build them close together to save land as well. One issue is I need the interior (and exterior) design to look good. I want to keep it minimalist though and I don't want to rely on transforming equipment. No closets (just wardrobes if needed like in Germany for example), and rely on modern plug-in electric appliances to cook on a counter top in a very small kitchen. I want to take much of the practices from Japan/Korea. I want to set people free.

I have 21m2 and I feel so cornered. Mainly because when I see out the window I can't see the sky and my room doesn't feel like an apartment but like a bedroom in a house that I share with my neighbours who feel like my brothers and sisters because I can constantly hear them and I csn see the light under the door while in my bed. I say we need more space when it is thought out well. To make us feel like we have an own home that we earned and that we live in in peace. And this is not how I feel. I feel like I share my home with strangers. It isn't isolated. It is a bedroom not an apartment. And it is still expensive for a student.

Ie: useful and efficient without having a multitude of unneeded, cluttery things that ultimately make you miserable, but use to show people how eccentric and hip you are.
