From the absolute bottom of my heart, thank you for making this video. You saved me so much money and time I would’ve made the exact same mistake as you. I really appreciate you making this video!
I had a Watertender for my first boat, with a transom mount trolling motor. I fished with my brother or father. We caught tons of redfish, snook, and tarpon on it. It is fishable, if you use the seats to stand on. Yes a little cramped, no real storage, but on a budget. Oh yha and I had it in some real chop and I survived. Had great times on that thing.
Needed something to take my mind off of life two years in a rowe I've had my house broken into right before the holidays so I am glad the big dawg posted
I have a 10ft sundolphin/prowler, upgrades ive done to make it awesome. 1) Put a floor in with 3/4 plywood and cover with carpet. 2) make the floor with 4 pcs, you can put a cut up cooler or plastic container for a built in cooler 3) the built in wiring is too thin, use heavier gauge wiring. Make wiring and secure to the floor on one side with conduit. 4) build a rudder, so you can run the motor on the bow, and it will steer instead of pivot.
Great video…Very dare. Wife & I have the seater ztendrr. We justlkveit !! I’ll do some fishing, but we just love being out on the water. Works well with our 5 hp Mercury. Lots of fun 🤩. Thanks again
I will have a lot of footage coming up but not until next week. Stability isn’t great but not much it can do with its size. Stability was my biggest complaint with mine
TBH, I like the look of the water tender, but I'm planning to take the wife out on the local ponds so stability is the main focus. Your video basically made up my mind on which one to get.
I have the Bass tender 11.3 and it's definitely better than the pond prowler. Never heard of the water tender sounds like something you take to the springs.
the water tender is perfect for that. You can pickup paddle hooks made for the tender and everything! You can buy them new at west marine but the used market is a much better option
How much weight would you say you put on the pond prowler? Maybe your next video could be how much it can hold? I bought a new pond prowler for me and my dad which combined would 600 lbs and i seen videos of these boats with 2 peoples, a gas engine, a beer cooler, poles , life jackets, and tackle there is no way that they where under 530lbs
Most people will exceed the limit. Often, just 2 people alone is 530lbs not including their gear and motors. Ive seen people post pics with 1,000+ pounds onboard. I wouldn’t worry about it.
