Thank you so much. I used straight pinless blades. The blades are size no. 3 from NIQUA FIX (0,34×0,8x130mm) available on amazon. They are great for cutting small turns and curves.

Give this a try. Get a role of white, self adhesive shelf paper. Apply that to you wood. Put adhesive spray on the back of your pattern. Stick it on your wood. Peel off the shelf paper. No residue.

Just a tip from a newbie scroller... Put blue painters tape on the wood before gluing your pattern and it'll save you a tonne of time cleaning up the pattern when you are done cutting.

True but the extra adhesive can gum up your blade. I have found that when I want to remove what is left of the pattern i take a heat gun to the paper and it peels pretty much right up.
@WoodGeek
@WoodGeek 2 года назад
Sounds interesting. I will sure try it out next time.
@willmorton6800
@willmorton6800 2 года назад
@@garryryanhoilman1531 Everyone says tape lubricates the blade. I can't attest to the lubrication, but I've never had a blade gum up from tape. I have tried the heat gun with spray adhesive and it left a residue behind. But try different options and use what works best for you! 😁

Thank You for the video. But at 4:30.... You should definitely use a Grrripper or some sort of rubber soled push-block, when You use a router, son, and keep Your hands away from the cutters. Sometimes the piece You're pushing get chewed by those fast turning cutters, and Your fingers get mauled in the process. I learned the hard way, although I was lucky and only got a nasty cut . Stay safe.

i‘m using the •scheppach•deko•flex• its a german manufacturer. scroll saws vary from 100 up to 1000 € i can only speak for myself and i‘m very happy with my saw (price was 145 €) 6 years ago. hegner is also a well known brand of scrollsaws but they‘re really pricey.

where would i buy small pieces of corian and the leopard wood?

I often buy small wood pieces on ebay. And for the corian you can ask at your local cabinet shop or kitchen installer for sink cutouts or scrap pieces.

How did you get those eyelets in there to hang the ornaments? I can’t get a pilot hole drilled. I’m stumped!
