I feel so fortunate to have surgery done by Dr Clayman and his team which consists of Dr Roy and Dr Walsh. What a team of wonderful experts and people. Had operation last Monday, flew to Tampa from San Francisco. You simply couldnt hope for a better team to help you with operation. These doctors go above and beyond and it is true that the surgery can change its course depending on what they find during the surgery. Even though I can do an ultra sound locally, I will gladly fly to Tampa to have it done with this team.
I went through this, a month ago! fortunately for me it wasn't cancer, but multinodular thyroid, basically my thyroid went haywire for no reason, n decided to get huge, n over grow from its normal size, my thyroid gland was so big i couldn't breathe or swallow anything, subsequently my head was starved of oxygen n of blood flow making my face so buffy n big..i mean swollen like a balloon, getting blood clots, because the over grown thyroid tumour was pushing n putting pressure on my aorta, my dr decided i needed total thyroidectomy, ...God im so glad it's out...but now have to deal with hypothyroidism.. weight gain exhaustion, feeling tired all the time plus joint pain and feeling constantly cold, depression, brain fog, anxiety😖

I had this surgery done due to papillary cancer. I have a huge Incision that runs from my left ear all the way down my throat to my other ear. I’m wondering if anyone deals with some of my issues ? Since surgery , my neck has not fully recovered ( it’s been 3 years ) , it’s still numb so I constantly deal with this weird feeling and constantly itches 😔 my doctor tried giving me several prescription pills but nothing helps to make me feel normal again. It’s already frustrating that I look like my head has been chopped off and constantly get wild looks when I wear shirts that don’t cover my neck 😔 I even thought about getting a tattoo to cover it but I was advised not to do so . If anyone has the same problems as me or has any solutions please reach out to me. Thanks 💕
I was discharged about a week ago. Papillary cancer, large infected lymph glands. I have now got hypocalcemia because my remaining 2 parathyroids are unhappy. I have the same incision from left ear to collarbone and across neck. Luckily I have a shaved head and a long beard so it will look ok. I have scars on my head already. It's only been 2 weeks and I have lost sensation across left side. I have massive nerve pain and pain from surgery. I'm young fit and healthy so it's alot to take in having cancer treatment. You are definitely not alone

I had Thyroid surgery like 6 years ago, I'm totally fine and the scar is gone. Don't worry, it's not that painful and the recovery is very fast. Wish u good luck ☘☘
Dr.right now im suffering hyperthyroidsm..im not able to eat solid food and i always have cramps my legs, my hand, my neck, my back bone, my hips..and when i sip a water it going back through my nose.. Doktor pleasr help me..

they should then send your biopsy off for molecular testing, mine was inconclusive twice and then I got my result that it wasn't cancer but had extremely inflamed cells and it was growing rapidly. I am now scheduling a surgery for removal.
I had my on oct7 I had to get it out I could breath every night when i went to bed i get up all thur the night i be haveing cough i still sore know i get eat know you gonna feel so much better when you get it taking out Good look on. Your surgery. Patricia
