SheIsntReal 0_0 They do. They have what are called mixed species habitats. The different animals share the enclosure because they would likely see each other in the wild.
yeah it is cute indeed x) I'm sure it's also mentally healthy for them to see creatures of other species. spice things up make life interesting for them :)
There's a story I love about the first giraffe in the Paris (France) Zoo. A man comes and stares at the giraffe for a long, long time. Finally turns around and says "I still don't believe it."
Good that they didn't let them too close. The kick of a Giraffe is so powerful that it can kill even a lion in seconds. Goats would have been mushed if Giraffes felt even a little threatened!
if giraffes wore ties, would they wear them on the top of their necks or on the bottom, close to their thorax? I always thought close to the thorax, becausae we humans also don't have our ties under our chin, right?
I can't believe this is a regular series but now I am going to watch every single episode in this series. Side note, you mention that Ruth is named after Ruth Bader Ginsburg but no explanation for Sonia... I assume named for Sonia Sotomayor?
A Giraffe could kill smaller animals and humans very easily merely by stepping, jumping and kicking them if they wanted to. But thank God they're friendly.
Just love these videos, and watching the interactions! I would love to see them shared on a children's show of some kind. Keep up the good work Ruth & Sonia, you are by far the sweetest little goodwill ambassadors!
SlitheryPoppy4 They are “reviewing” inter-species visiting policies. Like showing a shiny tricycle to a 3 y/o and then taking it away? Lion thought it was her special b’day dinner.
I love the Ruth and Sonia Shows! They are adorable to begin with..and throw in visits to other animals and everyones reactions....priceless! Thank you for all these vids. More to come I hope.
Hey, I have a Nigerian pygme goat and I am looking for a good harness for my goat. He's about 10 weeks now and has out grown several of his small harnesses. I have tried dog harnesses but he slips out like butter. Any suggestions for me on what works best and where to find such a harness?
I kind of always get disappointed though because all they ever do is look at each other no matter what animal it is. 😕So it doesn’t seem like they get to REALY meet, they just get to look at each other. But I guess some things take time. And I realize that there’s no way they can do anything but view the lions etc 😉👍
The goats probably had a strong reaction and the ZOO thought people would complain about this as an animal cruelty by terrifying the goats. Or maybe they uploaded the whole video and exactly that happened so they took it down. Or maybe they just decided they'd rather keep the videos nice and playful rather than preyful. Just my thoughts though... I'd love to see the episode.
@@davidnavratil5349 I saw the video on Facebook, someone further down in the comments posted the link. They probably want us to go to their Facebook side too to generate more clicks.
There was a preview of the little goats going to see the lions. Was that a complete debacle or is it going to be uploaded? (Went in search of... But, was unable to find it on your playlist.)
This was cute...and now at the end, this bit with the Lions. I probably would NEVER scare a goat like that with a major Predator. Regardless of the glass the Goats know and in a way it's taunting the Lions which really isn't a good thing. It's just not nice for the Goat or the Lion. Just my imo--Best wishes & Be well ~
George Smith Well duh. Giraffes can be aggressive and stomp with enough force to kill. They do it to lions and other predators in the wild all the time.
