Watching these again 5 years later. I forgot how informative these videos are. Thank you Dan! And welcome back! Looking forward to your new house build.
You obviously have damn good carpentry skills. You are doing a great job showing the proper way in laying out the build procedure. Your videos are very good. Like what you're doing. Good Luck, will be following your build. Vinny
Mam it's refreshing to come across a RU-vid video of a framer that actually knows what he's doing!! The only remark I would make is that being a right hander that you are, I would suggest a saw like a Porter cable, or a worm drive that has the blade left of the motor so your not covering up the blade as you cut.
Ok then. I'm off to your next vid for more critiques.I probably won't have to much to say cause you obviously know what your doing. For instance I can't find a single video on Gootube that shows how to plate walls except to measure every plate individually, and they all raise walls without the cap plate. Etc. Etc. Stay tuned, I'm off to your next vid.
Hi Dan, I have been interested in Tiny Houses for better than a year. I hope to build one myself. I believe your custom trailer and floor mounting concept is far superior to any other design I have seen. I like your construction tips. They are honest and most useful. I subscribed and look forward to watching your progress.
Rj Aquaponics It's taken me 3 years to get to this point. 2 years were dreaming, and the last year has been planning my build. mostly in my head. Hopefully ill have a video out every Thursday but my wallet will ultimately determine that. Thanks for your support.
Love2boat92 I had spent 10 years with one of those. I remember my first day on a construction site. The saw scared the hell out of me. My boss had told me to cut a 2x and i took the board over to a chop saw and he remmed me out for a week. so i was forced to respect the circular saw and eventually it just becomes muscle memory. Thanks for watching.
Best part of the video is the dog, I mean yes you are a awesome carpenter, but that dog is soo cool! :) Keep up the good job buddy.....that was for the dog. LOL
Hey I to like yours videos and also the humor you remind me of myself when I was your age except I built custom log homes and yauts for a living until it bottomed out now with my bad back can't do to much heavy lifting I hope to see more from this project and of you thanks a lot PS have you estimated total cost for this project.
