Just a suggestion for mama's shower, look into getting a folding wall-mounted shower seat. I am older and bought one when replacing my shower. I love it and it makes washing my legs and feet so much easier. 2X6 needed to be installed in the wall studs before the rest went in. Happy Mother's Day.
Praying for you and your family. My family is going through something similar. My Dad at 95 was slowly failing and passed away last Monday, his funeral is tomorrow. My mother was diagnosed the Friday before his passing with pancreatic and liver cancer. She has been losing weight, the only real symptom so far, but it sounds like she is full of cancer. At 89 years old, chemo isn't even a thought. I knew I was going to lose my dad, but losing mom right on his heels was not expected. They are believers and ready for their home going so while it's sad here on earth, they will be rejoicing together in heaven. Kep us posted and I will continue prayers.

@@delmadehoyos1946 I will keep Norma in my prayers as well. We had Dad's funeral today. It was a wonderful celebration of his life with the message of salvation presented plain and clear. Over 100 people in attendence for someone 95 is a testimony to the life he lived.

Your idea re' adding the bedroom later is best..that way everything you do before then is permanent and resolved. Really looking forward to the project.Love the already defined kitchen area.

I suggest putting the bathroom along the full back wall with a door about 3/4 to the left side. That’ll give more open space in the great room both for the bed now and living room later. It’s also enough room in the bathroom for a closet of some sort. I think that would be easier for Mama to make the bed and get around. I have a corner bed now and it takes all my energy to make the bed. Thanks for sharing the dimensions. That is eye opening.
Floor looks great. I’ve done several floors like yours. Great idea as it is easier to do especially in a small space. I wish nothing but the best for you and yours. What a sweet pair you are.
The kitchen in the nook of them sheds is amazing and saves alot if space and, she can be in her kitchen cooking or baking while looking outside. The flooring looks amazing!
I would like to suggest that you move the front door even with the front of the house. Even if you bump it out half the distance you would gain space for the inside. She does not lose the porch on front and gains floor space. Also, you could extend the kitchen tile into the entry. So sorry for you and your family about your sister and others. Will pray for you.
I remember the day Mama's house was delivered. I just watched it and I got doing a few things and never was able to post my post. You cut it right to the T for the floor boards perfectly. Once everything is in place it's going to be cozy and her space. I agree about the bed, once she's settled in. Them little wrap around porches are nice but it does take away more floor than you realize. But since you already have a cement slab back by were the beds like you said build a bedroom off there and she can do whatever with the space even a full size couch up against the wall between the bathroom and that would make the living room bigger and it's going to be just adorable and I'm sure she's going to appreciate it more than you know. Having her kitchen with one of those tables that are for 2 and half the 2 sides that fold up and your slide them little pieces of wood underneath the table for 4 people are nice and cheap but well built. I wish I could send you one of my very old ones that have the real formica top was my grandma's. But I know you got this, your going to blow your on minds. I remember the day you received the cool Bluetooth fan that was nice to watch Rusty getting the thing together and the Bluetooth. The drywall will hold that little piece of floor in place. Mama’s tiny house is coming along nicely!!If it was an efficiency apartment it would be all in one room, just like the tiny house. Maybe put a divider on rollers so that she can close off her bedroom area when need be, That would also give her a little privacy too. I love the floating floor! So bathroom being small. You would just need a shower and a toilet. And use the sink in kitchen to wash hand. Only other thing would be, would a wheel chair fit? Just thinking in the future. Have you thought adding a bathroom on? Not as big of an addition, but it would give proper space. Plus added storage, washer/dryer, ect.

Family, Prayers for your continued strength during the last semester of your sisters life. Went through similar situation with my mom. Started in liver but test showed cancer was too aggressive. Unconditional love is very difficult for some to wrap their minds around. Regardless,the painul loss will be absorbed by the strength of the family. As Mom says, 🥛🍪's.

To add mor room, simply take out the front door and move it back to the front (flattening out the front) and simply add a 4foot deck onto the front deck with a sloped tin roof. Problem solved.
