(According to BandCamp) We're running through the night, Coat-tails flying in the streetlight, Down the hill, To catch the boat, To the other side. We're running through the night, Always running out of time, My pillow is my old brown coat, We're two sea rats on this swollen boat, Because there's no time left to take - No more - as we go by the sun, And the stars feel like ours This morning, As we walk out the town. Picked up by a baker On the skirts of pretty Nelson, He was almost home. He turned around, reminded of, All of those who turned around. So I sat with his dog on my knee, And his baby beside me, While he told you about his wife, So much sadness in his eyes. Because there's no time left to take - No more - as we go by the sun, And the stars feel like ours This morning, As we walk out the town. And now as I descend, And all the noise is in my head, You pull me through, Because I am rich when I'm with you - When you’re by my side. Oh, running through the night, Catching eyes in the moonlight, We’ve got all the things we need, All the things we’ll ever need.
Hey, Wow I'm so pleased to have discovered this young artist.. what a sensational track, has me in tears I don't mind telling you! SO heartfelt.. I heard about Tiny Ruins from the BBC World Service program 'The Strand'.. this album was chosen by Mark Coles as his record of the year. He reckoned that this track was the closest in feel to a song by the late Nick Cave that he's heard over the past 30 years.. praise indeed! Something to tell your friends about.. thanks for posting, :)) Px
@trotsky1959 Hey Dude, SO sorry.. My bad.. I did of course mean the late Nick Drake who died in Nov '74 but whose moody guitar songs are still revered by many. MC was paying this lady a big compliment with the comparison. Anyway, sorry for the confusion and for stressing you out.. far as I know the lovely Nick Cave is still with us and may he long remain!! Best.. Px :))
You're amazing. A friend linked me and by a minute in I had already placed my online order for your album. Keep doing what you're doing. You will be huge!
