Most pets that are given as birthday presents are abandoned or returned to shelters.

I personally think people should have to pay for a license for a cat or a dog before they can buy them. a £100.00 pounds a year would make a lot of people just buy a cuddly toy instead of a living creature that has to be cared for on a daily basis. that would save a lot of animals from a lot of pain, fear, and misery!

Cats you find on street are the best. When I was 15 i found blind kitten in middle of the road and brought it home in pocket of my jacket. 5 years later he is sassy handsome boy.

i remember one of our kittens was like this when granny got her. Despite her hissing, grandma immediatly held her and asserted " you are safe and being rescued, do not resists" and the kitten obeyed, that's how every cat in gradma's home obeys grandma as the alpha in the house

I think the babies understand mother energy keeps them clean, they don’t like not being cleaned, it’s being neglected, I think that’s why often a bath is like a reboot for kittens..

Oh my gosh, as touching as this story was about a wee, vulnerable baby kitten being saved from a cruel street life, it was that beautiful young lady that wee KiKi was so incredibly blessed to be chosen for his mummy, and her genuinely heart felt response upon learning she's about to become an animal guardian to Kiki will stay with me forever, it was quite possibly the highlight of this entire video for me. Her facial expressions and body language she displayed in response to being told she was a new mummy to adorable Kiki was genuine emotion that cannot be faked and it told me fluffy KiKi had won the lottery of his forever human...If only...😔Sigh, if only every animal was so blessed to have such a wonderful, loving human in their life, there'd be no need for animal shelters.

He looks like my Teddy, whose pregnant mother I kid sector a horrible place a d she had kittens under my bed. He wasn't supposed to live and she had wrapped him up with his mobile cord and after birth. After be was fine he be and her favorite and she would take him alone to nurse him. He was the sweetest, most loving, most sensitive cat on the planet. I miss him so so much! We had a nice life together.

OOF, that got me. Our grey cat died of a congenital disease at just 1 year old. Getting another cat was hard, i resisted for 2 months until i saw this kitten in the shelter who had just been neutered and was whining in pain. Adopted him that minute b/c that is how my heart feels. Still have that siamese rascal to this day... and he hates me but loves my daughter who spoils him.

I adopted a long haired ginger kitten from the mangrove behind where I live in Costa Rica, whom I named Oscar. He was 5 weeks old maximum and easily fit in the palm if my hand. I also have a tuxedo cat named Leyda, who is also a rescue from the mangrove, and while she resisted him at first looking at me like "What's he here for? I should be enough", but after a week she finally quit ignoring him and as soon as she saw and smelled his dirty face, she held him down and washed his face while he squirmed and kicked and protested, but Leyda still washed Oscar's face twice a day. Now 2 1/2 years later, they are inseparable.
