Oh it’s not a movie?!!! I know what MTG is but I kind of asssumed this was a movie based on its base kit or something. I was so invested. Now I am so disappointed. Even if it had no words, this could be one of those classics if it had the plot.

@@InsanoRider777 it's true. this set seems the most like Magic The Gathering of many recent and the stupid car racing set we're getting after Duskmourne, and the people in charge seem intent on killing this one with numbers. Some of the cards in the set seem abnormally not pushed like many cards have been recently, and they put this trailer in a discussion video about the set which will probably enable some corporate paper pusher to point at the views on this video and go "the animation budget wasn't worth it" or people want modern real world like doctor who, not high fantasy animated stuff, meanwhile Doctor Who gets super pushed cards i reluctantly add to decks while begrudgingly lamenting the flavor incompatibility. This kind of BS happens in Capitalism all the time. Just look at Final Fantasy VIII vs FFIX. 8 made more money in sales so they started going that way, but IX is way more beloved. See VIII made sales because VII was great, then nobody came back for IX because VIII was trash(by comparison, still has some really great stuff in it to be sure). Disney also killed Treasure planet in it's crib with lackluster promotion, and I can't think of any other reason for them to debut duskmourne BEFORE Bloomburrow unless somebody with power at WOTC is INTENTIONALLY trying to skew the numbers to put it down. They sent the pinkertons after somebody for hurting their promotional hype schedule in the past, and now suddenly they intentionally do it themselves? I smell BS.

You should check out Wildlands by Stephen Wood! I’ve been on the hunt for games that embody Redwall and medieval fantasy with little critters like this, and Wildlands is a pay-what-you-want rpg system that’s EXACTLY like this, i love it (And since you can get it for free don’t just think of this as free advertising lol, I just love little critter worlds so much

Unfortunately they still haven’t gotten a series based on the main MTG story off the ground, so it doesn’t seem likely to happen here. I’d love to be proven wrong though.

Me and my coworker have been talking about just a show in general for magic. Idk much about the mtg lore as of now but if they did an animated show it would be awesome. (Not anime). I just got back into magic and my favorite recent set is otj just cause I like the western theme

Yeah, I completely tuned out for a few of the last sets. Murder mantions and cowboys was not what attracted me to magic in the first place. This on the other hand, draws me back in

There was a Redwall animated series way back in the late 90s I think? Produced by Canadian, French, and German studios(?) You should be able to find some of the episodes on RU-vid! Highly recommend!
