Ps, plus he had that kind of old vadville style to his voice and style! Maybe that's were he derived from, maybe he was and old reincarnation vadville star! I love the way he dressed, especially those plaid jacked and ties her wore! Just a 100 percent need to heart! I lived him!
me gustan las canciones, son realmente buenas. Tienen un parecido a canciones de películas de Disney del 50 a 80. Me encanta, me gusto mucho We love it
My boss at a seafood restaurant in Dallas used to play this album a lot during the winter of 1998. He eventually sold the business to a rival and moved to Florida to become a child psychologist.
Thanks so very much for this upload: --I'm now in my later years of life, and of course I remember Tiny Tim from all the way back in the 1960's. Even as he reached his peak of fame, most people just laughed at him because he was so different (and also a true comedian), not really giving him full credit for his tremendous musical and vocal talent.
Extraordinario talento!!
Thank you for uploading this. It took me fifty-three years to get around to listening to it. Like _God Bless Tiny Tim,_ this album was produced by Richard Perry.
2 album releases in the same year, what a powerhouse!! IMO this feels like a continuation to his debut. Tiny was bursting with wanting to share his own personal love for his favorites. A homage to his all time heroes of wayback when and a homage to everyone, to all of us. Tiny Tim was our friend. There will never be another like him. I really enjoyed this. Thank you so much for uploading this.
There is a direct reason why the album didn't sell well and where (probably) the name of it came from. In an interview with Wes Bailey, Tiny Tim spoke about the one record that killed his career: „That was called 'Concert in Fairyland'. That was done in 1962. At that time I was walking the streets in New York and anyone who wanted to record me, it was a thrill. At the time they had a 60/70-year-old gentleman, called Max The Butcher, who sang completely off-key and he thought he was great. Basically he spent all his money to invest in his career, he wanted to be a star (...). Ironically the record started hitting the charts and he dropped dead, he couldn't take success (...). This was about 1961. They saw me coming down the street and they said: 'Look, he can be the successor to Max The Butcher'. (...) We went into this studio and I had to play the role of Max The Butcher and sing off-key. (...) Well anyway, nothing happened and that was it. In '68, six years later, when 'Tiptoe Through the Tulips' came out with Warner Brothers, the same people contacted them and they had the tapes going back six years before and said: 'Look, these are horrible tapes. If we put it out, it's going to kill his career unless you give us 25 grand' and of course Warner Brothers did not do that, so they came out with the album in the summertime of '68 and a lot of people thought it was the second album, so they went out and bought the album and of course they were horribly taken. (...) When the real second album came out (...) in the fall, it didn't move anymore and I didn' have a good reputation in the business.” Link to the full interview with a timestamp for anyone interested: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bUTma9dmZnw.html
You think he’s autistic? The way he remembers dates. I was watching an interview with him a Vicki Lawrence and the way he was rattling off dates… he always did that. But someone in the comments said “he might have been on the spectrum” Makes sense I guess. But anyways god bless you Tiny Tim.
BEN ROLEY thankyou so much for upload this ...it's absolutely brilliant and I can't express how much joy it's given me with just one listen...this will be played often and will uplift my day..thankyou Ben thankyou Tim... love life with a sprinkling of Tim.

@@MrCrisenson absolutely, me too...known of Tim for years but only really started listening to him a little while ago and everyday in this last month/and a half..he adds a little joy to my world and anyone else who doesn't appreciate him can go.......lol He really does elate me and make me feel joyful.. brilliant man that should have been born for our time...where he would have been even more appreciated and made a millionaire where he got to enjoy the money... things piss me off sometimes and that's one of them cos this man had a beautiful heart and deserved it ..this album is better than the first...it's great...(as in song 2-) we love it and the kazoo solo is great haha..never thought I'd say that away from the songs of bill oddie lol
First time I've ever heard this album. Sorry I didn't give him more credit. What a range of voice he had and the diversity of songs. Lovely!! Thanks for posting.

@@Agos226 please find my thankyou acknowledgement to u with same timestamp as this.. thankyou so much, this will be bringing a lot of real wholesome joy to many many people...so thankyou so so much..it's great. I love it better than the first album..wish the guy was still here with us and in his prime for our generation ..he was needed now not in his own time...tho he was appreciated then , now he would have financial appreciation with it and wouldn't been ripped off so easily. His life was worth so much more than he was given even tho he was satisfied with his lot. God bless you tiny Tim.
I found this channel (coincidentally unless the algorithm connected it) twice in the past four days and the second time was through a comment this channel made on a David Lynch iPhone edit video, anyway nice album.
Tiny tim was pure fun! I like people who are out side the box thinkers! He was so out of the mundane american life! He's was like peewee Herman! Like a living human clown doll, it's ment to be fun and humorous! We need people like this in our world, or we would all go crazy!
I wish tiny could have lived his entire life inside the dream..that he found it at all for a time I'm sure must have accompanyed him on darker times. A legend. Still remembered and played, that's a achievement he could be proud of, wish he knew.
Haha I see where you coming from, but these where his parents, and a very good depiction as I may say.. good parents as they where, never wanted to put him in psycho therapy as doctors perscripted him..
@@DiabolicalWitness i know that his mother wanted to do that, but not because tiny was mentally ill but because he had long hair and wore white face makeup. to me, that‘s not a reason to send someone to a mental hospital, just beacuse they look a little different. Tiny was just being himself and everyone around him was being rude towards tiny and told him he was crazy for no valid reason.
I watched King for a Day last night my only complaint was that I wish it was longer . The Man on the Moon is truly Tiny’s song. He did the impossible against all possible forces to live the dream of his contemporaries that he adored and respected. I play ukulele and performed at a restaurant for four years playing songs from the 20’s to 90’s and my uke case would be filled with tips mostly from older patrons who would compliment me on playing songs from the great American song book and yes I did play Tip Toe only in a lower register. Thank you Mr Tim!!
4:22 When the Kazoo finally kicks in to really broaden your smile already plastered all over your cheerful face!!! "I'm the symbol of respect & humble modesty, yes a very perfect model citizen. Why when I bankrupt the business ruthlessly, I do it like a perfect gentleman." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I first heard about this LP in the early 1970's. I was working in a slaughterhouse and one of the workers told me his kids had bought this album, and now it was his favorite . He loved it.
His best music was when he would just use his falsetto and his ukulele. All the rest of what he did with the deeper voice and full bands and horn sections was terrible because it took away what made him so unique.if he just would have stuck with that original formula, he would have stayed on top much longer.
No disrespect to Tiny; it’s just interesting to me that not everyone who becomes a famous performer is a good singer. I wonder if they would’ve tried to auto tune him if they had that back then. I’m glad his gift wasn’t covered by the same veneer as singers today.
@@flemming1286 To my knowledge he never ventured outside of the popular styles of the 20th century, which may cover more genres than most singers of late, but isn’t “most ways possible”. The peculiarities of his voice & his unique presentation have their charm; the influence of early recordings is audaciously evident. I maintain his success is the reward, not of his singing, but of his showmanship.
@@harpsichordkid he could actually sing pretty well and in a lot of different styles, recordings of that are just really hard to find bc he always used his two „signature voices“ in his songs and that‘s what people knew him for. Only after his death a few recordings and some unreleased songs where he sang differently surfaced. The guy has also written an awful lot of really nice songs but sadly never released them. Btw there‘s even a part in one of his songs on his christmas album where he randomly starts rapping or something like that (idk haha), which sounds absolutely hillarious😂
