As a retired physician assistant I too suspect a endocrine problem possibly a thymic involution poor weight gain FTT syndrome? His mothers’ nervousness and lack of food could also affect her quantity and quality of her breast milk as well, I hope not Tiny is beyond precious! Knowing how you care for these two I have no doubts Tina and Tiny will be fine with your extra treats and goodies! Thank you for keeping all of us informed, l know I worry about those two especially precious Tiny! you know what I've noticed Tina loves tiny very very much but when it comes to food unfortunately they're so hungry cuz they're so low ranking she ends up taking his food it's sad but it is what it is
Like I said above he has milk on tap. He eats when she don't and she's a taxi as well. I hate to see it but she is starving. If she don't eat he won't either and they both starve. Lesser of two evils. She isn't being greedy. She is making a living for both.
I hate tina so much . How could she ,with her own baby . Poor tiny ..I don't think I can watch tiny again .it's just sad and heartbreaking and so unfair
Tina is a good mum. Their code is different but she cares for her son Tiny too it's just that she's starving as well and she has to be alive to protect her baby.
I know this was months ago but that really upset me watching Tinys mom steal his food!! Just forcing her hands all up in his mouth and taking what was his!!! I mean really your food isn't even safe from his own mother and it doesn't matter that it's already chewed up in his mouth, she digs around and takes it anyways! Made me tear up watching that he isn't even safe to eat around his own mother and the sad music at the end shit that was it I couldn't hold back!!!
Its odd to try an understand Tiny's mother, as you seem to think she may have had at least one other child - a girl - who appears t9o have been cared for properly and is grown to a normal size. Tiny's mom is acting like female monkeys that have lost a mother at a early age and see the mother die or be killed and has never experienced the normal cycle of child rearing but if that other female was Tiny's sister then that cannot be the issue. The other possibility that they are new to this troop and the one they came from she had a massive amount of trouble with but Skull Head has allowed her to join the outskirts and tag along, with her children, which would make her at the very bottom of the rankings. It would not be rare if they were set upon by members of another troop they were in that the daughters would possible follow mom although any males would have probably started. It would be interesting to try and identify the daughter again and see how she is fairing in the troop as the small amount of time we saw her she did not appear to be on edge or not faring well. Having been forced out or defected from a troop and ended up in this one could go a long way to explain some of the odd care she is showing towards a male baby. I wonder if she arrived while pregnant or has become so while in this troop. The way she takes food out of his mouth like that - poor Tiny does not stand much of a chance and its food he needs and not going to get as she is not making it into milk. Nature is pretty harsh sometimes - Mom gets all she could grab and that baby could grab and baby gets nothing. He will never grow this way. Unless he took a minute while grabbing food to chew it all and swallow - which he probably did not so he could hurry and get more - he got none of it. She was forcing it out of his pouches in a really cruel way to make sure none could be swallowed. I knew she would not stop if there was any chance of food in her baby that she could force out to eat. If she sees Tiny get any food or have any food in the pouches she will take it. They only way to possible help the poor guy is to get him away from others and feed him then and keep mom away until he can swallow, there is no way that she will stop and think "baby should have some" but unless she is stuffed full she will take everything that Tiny has. While I suspect hunger is the driving force behind her wanting food I have never seen a monkey so selfish as to not also feed baby at least some of what she has, especially when she is no longer nursing. I actually asked around about this as it seemed so uncharacteristic for a mom to do this and was told that now and then you get a mom that really has no use for a baby and will wean or let milk dry up early even if they are not hungry and when baby is fed along with mother and mother is given more than enough food as soon as she is back with baby she takes ever bit that the baby has not yet swallowed. Very often these are babies that have to be removed from the mother and, if old enough, fed separately and given milk and not allowed back in with mom until the moth and pouches are empty. In a couple of cases I was told that baby was removed from hand raising because mother knew baby had eaten and was trying to cause baby to throw up so they could get what baby had. In those cases they could not let baby go back after a meal. But the normal thing they do is feed mom alone or with the troop and feed baby separate and once baby has had its full and cleared its pouches can be allowed back with mom and thr troop to go on being a monkey. Some of them were interested to hear that you saw this happening in nature as they though perhaps it had to do with monkeys in captivity . And it makes sense that in the wild mom might do it if starving but since they see it in monkeys that have plenty to eat it just might be an abnormal pattern of behavior.

Never fails. Tina's babies get food and she takes it right out of her pouches. The alpha male or minor alpha of her troop should attack her for that in my opinion. And poor Tiny was fighting as much as he dared to keep what little bit of food he had but she was just stronger than him. I wish Tiny would have bitten her tongue or finger when she put them in his mouth. Would have served her right for being so cruel to her own baby. Also, as rough as she was with him when she was raiding his mouth and pouches, I'm surprised she didn't physically hurt him.
This is when she makes me mad! Her pouches were full to the brim. I absolutely understand it's nature and she's got to eat to make milk but that's more about greed. He doesn't look exactly like Tiny but their demeanor are identical, timid but fierce in their will to live
I really hate how Tina keeps taking food out of "Tiny's" mouth but worse doesn't want to nurse Tiny. That's so awful I wish I could kick her in the butt! No wonder he doesn't have much to do with her and become independent. Arroz, thank you for showing Tiny in his own element. So sweet and so clever too.
Although she appears nervous, Tiny's mom does have an intelligent, though forlorn, look about her. Many of the others don't have such a smart, attractive look as she does.
Awe this is so sad. Poor mama is so hungry she has to take from her baby to get something in her belly. I feel so bad for both cause if she dont eat she won't produce milk and if he dont eat well ya know..
I want him. He’s so cute I would give him all the food he wants with a face like that. So sad he can’t even keep his own food in his mouth it gets stolen from him.
okay... some moms are different, but clearly mom looks out for number one and that’s her, it’s crystal clear to me why she is greatly disliked that’s evil it’s against a loving mothers heart to ever take food from your child’s mouth. Monkey or human wrong is wrong her kids have paid that price.. she knows it so she is very good at the other needs just not the most important!!!

This is why Tina isn’t good with any troop she has the nerve to take food out of her underweight children’s mouth. See the big one ran her off he saw what she was doing. She goes to another group gets comfortable steals her baby’s food the moms all see it even though at first she hides. They are her food source she’s too good to forge for herself? I’m sure they witnessed it with her older daughter and now him no wonder she’s hated that’s wrong!!
I'm not sure they're such wonderful mothers as you've stated in past. I just wanted to cry watching her dig food out of her own baby's mouth. Made me so angry too! I know they're just animals driven mostly by innate instincts but still...... just awful to watch that.
And she robbed tiny her son of all those beans after he gave Tina a huge sweet potato she was not starving it’s food he’s her son therefore she can suckle the beans out of his mouth and leave his tummy empty tonight. She’s nice and full. She’s a selfish mother.

Look people, his mom has milk on tap for him. He eats even when she don't. I don't like to see mom's do this but she is starving. Nature or nurture she's bony and pitiful. That hair is covering a bag of bones so in this case I think she did what she had to do to keep them alive. If she dies he will also from starvation or because of the very low rank he would probably get killed trying to get food out of turn. Stop saying these mom's are mean. He gets milk she gets his share of soy beans. The milk is better for him any way. He's eating later and has some in his pouches so she got them another meal somehow. She is a very good mother
Tiny has deep cheek pockets so fortunately it’s harder for Tina to get any food out of them, only small bits. I do miss seeing her these days. I always thought she had a distinctly beautiful face and coat. And Tiny is so precious at this age🥰
Sorry but I have to be honest. If I had been standing there, was that close and saw her doing that, I would have kicked her head off of her shoulders. I know...I know, I shouldn't feel that way and would it help the little one? Probably not. But if she survived the kick, he'd remember that while she was stealing food from her starving baby's mouth, she got kicked in the head really hard.
Oh no I would have gone after her. I know it’s not right but I couldn’t have helped myself. I don’t think I have seen Tiny in a very long time, I’ll have to try and find what he looks like now.
I really like the way that she completely incapsulate send with her body when she's holding him or you can barely see any of him. It's just very protective of her to do that. I think it's all part of her being on edge all the time she's trying to Shield him from everybody around her. I mean her herself she's not very big either so I'm wondering if she's bullied a lot
As painful as it is to watch poor Tiny foraging for food just to have his mom steal right out of his mouth,🙊😢I guess Tina is teaching her baby hard lesson on how to survive & grow up to be a strong 💪 leader of a troop one day. A really HARD lesson! I know the purpose of their pouches. But for his sake maybe he should just chew & swallow instead of saving it. Eat & swallow first, store some for later, Tiny! All the babies are so adorable! I love all of them! But, I just got a glimpse of Ava & all I can say is, OMG! She is absolutely beautiful! Like I said, I love the babies, but when they grow to be Ava's age, they are like little balls of fully mush. I could just hug & cuddle with her all day. Not sure what that age group is, maybe 2 ish? I don't know but I love them at that age. I could see in her moms face that she was a pretty youngster back when too. She must make beautiful children.
Wow can u imagine a human mother taking the food out of her baby's mouth and eats it all herself......geezes. This natural instinct seems to have taken quite a beating on the road of evolution. A little less cruelty would be nice, ya hear me there, mom nature? And while we are at it...lets talk weaning and eat or get eaten and torture. What's up with that? Did some God telld u to do this? As a wildlife rehabilitator of over 20 years I very much appreciate this since I don't have the chance to work with primates of any kind.
He's going to end up taking his goodies up a tree and away from mum eventually. Just like Dopey had to do, because Reddy was taking Dopey's food. Its so hard to watch Tina (great name) take food away from Tiny. But, I feel bad for her too. She's starving. :I Thank you so much Arroz for every bite you manage to give to them.
I can’t believe I missed that watch after she forcibly stole all his food infront of that big alpha male! She took him and ran off after she got all the food away the picked him up ran off , that huge alpha male was barking and Persuing her.. watch closely that is why she’s hated. They do kinda clear the way when he’s trying to get food. They know what their mother does. That’s why they were more tolerated during goodies time. They usually run kids off they kinda aggressive with other kids but more tolerant of tiny and tiny. That’s sweet!!!
Watch her before she does it she checks who’s looking then she locks him down so he does not have a chance to chew them before she hides better somewhere.
Omg I kept saying how cute he is and how I just want to put him in my pocket. I didn't know that I practically could! And I'm so glad that you explain everything, bc I was angry that she was digging into his mouth and prying his mouth open to get the food. I mean it's still not right and I don't like it. But I understand and as long as he's still getting mom's milk he's still getting it.

Yeah I hate her behavior that’s shrewd... but sometimes she is a awesome mom. But very much just like an enemy the gotta fight her and they do.. they’re just so small but they fight to keep their life.
Tracie Sanchez dont want to intrude but I started watching this channel about 4-5 months back and have been glued for some reason to the life and struggles of teeny and knowing Tina has had babies prior to teeny like tiny I'd thought I'd watch all the Tina videos I could and was absolutely appalled on how this mother could physically remove food that was foraged mostly from the mouths of her children. I'm pretty much convinced Tina produces no milk whatsoever and what's even worse is that she refuses any confrontation she can which leads her to let her children fend for themselves in the hierarchy and risk life and limb only to come in and scoop them up and prey upon them as her personal lunchbox. All in all Tina is just a terrible mother.
MOM'S MILK IS DRYING UP , SHE CAN''T USE THE EXCUSE THAT SHE NEED EXTRA TO MAKE MILK FOR HIM !! SHE IS JUST USING THE SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST DEAL ! YOU MIGHT FIND HIM LYING SOME WHERE DEAD! I AM SURPRISED SHE DIDN'T EAT HIM !! THEY ALL NEED MORE FOOD AND THEY ARE ALL TRYING TO FORAGE FOR ANY THING TO KEEP THEM SELVES ALIVE .
They don't for the same reason that in the US, where I live, people who have always had money don't give much to charity. The ones who have made a little money are the first ones to give to charity because they remember when they were poor. People just don't sympathize with others' pain unless they have experienced the same pain themselves. I couldn't imagine what it was like to go through chemotherapy until I went through it. Now I know how horrible it is. You really have to want to live to make it through chemo. Sorry, I didn't mean to preach. We can learn a lot from these little monkeys!
I know this tape is old but I am sure it happens all the time that the low ranking mothers get less food so baby’s have less milk. They are used to you being around can’t you sneak them some food?
If I had to pick just one thing that bothers me the most, I would have to say it's the pecking order as far as eating goes. I hate seeing lower ranking monkeys & the kids not getting anything or very, very little to eat. Why can't everyone just eat together & be happy. Don't steal food from one another. Especially, right out of the other ones mouth. 🤮 Maybe it's the Italian women in me. We make more than enough food for everyone & we make sure everyone eats. Or, maybe it's just the human with feelings that I am. I know I said one thing, but the 2nd thing is, the ways the moms discipline their babies & the abuse from the kidnappers that bothers me.
This is harsh. She is really stretching his face/lips to get to a few beans. I feel sad for Tiny, who is just a baby here. Tina will be having a new baby this year. Teeny was determined to survive, Tiny is good now, I look forward to the next chapter for this family.

I could hardly watch his mom take his food out of his mouth. They had such a hard time surviving in the wall and being at the bottom of the group. Thank you so much for helping them cuz I doubt they would not survive without some help.

Little Tiny is such a precious little one. It broke my heart to see his mom dig food out of his pouches and she wasn't gentle at it either. What's even more disturbing is that she already had some in her pouches. Sadly, I guess all mother's instincts, monkey or not, aren't the same because I know I'd die so my child could live.
Arroz, it looks painful the way she digs in Tinys cheeks to get his food. Her fingers are all in his eyes, up his nose, while trying to open his mouth. Not sure Ive ever seen this behavior from moms.... He is a beautiful little thing. ❤❤❤❤❤❤💓❤❤❤❤❤❤❣

She is doing the best she can to survive and take care of herself and Tiny. They are rock bottom totem pole and don't get anything to eat. Arroz does what he can. Thank you for helping them
