Tinybones, Trinket Thief | Discard | Budget Commander Deck Tech | EDH | MTG | Commander 

I put Geth's Grimoire in my Tinybones deck, it's stupid on card draw. In a 4 player game and make everybody discard 1? You draw 3 cards after discard. Its so stupid how good a card it is with any discard deck.

Because it doesnt say "play a land from your library". It gives you an extra land if you sacrifice it. You are ramping and gain an additional land.

I have a better yet more expensive version of this deck if youd like the list.

I‘m german too and we actually don’t have lack of jumpstart in my playgroup

@@dif4797 there's objectively a low supply of it though, hence the price on these cards still. If you wanted to buy this card it will still cost you around £20

It's not budget. They're like £8-10 each.

It’s only budget because the deck probably costs as much or even less than his price point. So other than the commander the deck is still budget.

@@dapperghastmeowregard Absolutely, he's just not as ubiquitous as other cards. Not a perfect example because it is an enchantment, but Rhystic Study and cyclonic rift arecheaper than Tinybones and they goes in virtually every blue deck. Or if you want to stick in mono-black legendary, yawgmoth is cheaper and a lot more versatile. It's no doubt an awesome budget deck...if you already have tinybones :(

I didnt pull him either, I was one of those guys that wanted to pull a craterhoof and pulled the billion dollar elf instead and didnt realize it until about a month ago when I started throwing together a green/black elf ball deck lol. It was a lucky box even without tiny bones

Tergrid is against the philosophy of commander, as she is incredibly broken and unfun, leading to non-games and overall a bad commander experience for your playgroup. As a result, people should avoid running her, even though the card makes perfect sense with the commander. Other perfectly valid strategies, like stax, heavy control, mass land destruction, combos, hatebears and boardwipes go against the "unwritten rules of commander" and should be avoided as well. Seriously though, the concept of making budget deck techs available for the community and helping more people get into this awesome game is incredible and deserves praise. However, Mitch is doing a disservice to the community as a whole with his "top 10 worst commanders of the set" and "unwritten rules of commander", as he's actively spreading the notion that certain strategies should never be played or even experimented with based solely on a personal idea of what's fun. This disincentivates newer players to explore different strategies and leads to unidimensional gameplay based on light interaction and whoever ramps to their haymakers first. Most "oppressive" cards like Tergrid can be countered by appropriate deck building.

My playgroup is anti proxy.And when the art is one of the more important things about why I like a card proxying it kinda lessens that for me.

I've purchased 6 Jumpstart packs hoping to get the Tinybones deck. I didn't get one.

For some reason wallmart in canada was selling a 4 pack for only $32 cad so i bought like $700 of packs and pulled 2 tiny bones and a bunch of other spicy things. So just made a deck for him but now i can compare it to this

I only got 2 Jumpstart packs. No tiny bones, but I pulled Allosaurus Shepard

Yep, because discard is the most boring mechanic ever. People turn up to play commander, not watch somebody masturbate

Or you go for graveyard resurrection - stuff. Black is the perfect color for it
