Tip #1 - No mess hack!! BEST TIP EVER! Adhering Intricate Die Cuts! Works for laser cut dies.

Hands down... best tip of the year! Found this at just exactly the right time: I had messed up two intricate foiled die-cuts trying to use the Xyron as the adhesive! FYI: I don't have a Gemini, so I tried it with the Sizzix BigKick using this sandwich: original Multi-purpose Base with both Tabs, Chrome Precision Base Plate, die-cut with Xyron adhesive, silicon rubber mat, regular acrylic cutting plate. It worked perfectly!

I just wanted to let you know that this is the BEST technique I have ever tried. It saved my sanity while making table favors for Thanksgiving that consisted of very intricate cuts from my Cricut machine. Love,love, love this!! Thank you!

This was by far the most valuable tip for intricate dies. This video is a gem for gluing such detailed dies because no matter how careful I am for applying liquid glue, I make a mess. This tip alone earned you a new subscriber! Now I just have to find my xyron that I was going to pitch because of the sticky mess. I make cards and I RUINED several completed cards after putting the last component on the front the "intricate die". I could have cried ,( I think I did) HOURS of work down the drain. The Xyron was banished to some dark corner never to be used again. I always tried rolling my carrier sheet and pressing the sticky side on my die cuts to pick up the extra stuff. This is sooooo much better!

Thank you. I gave up using my xyrons a couple years ago for anything with detail. I tried many ways to clean up the glue. Even use powder to unstuck the top. But, that can get messy. I will give this a shot. Was going to donate them and the refills.

I am so glad I ran across this video. I had used my Xyron before and got spider legs. I am definitely going to try this probably tomorrow. I would try this tonight, but I would have to get everything out since I don’t have a craft room - just my breakfast room table .

I’ll give this a try. I have been running my cardstock through the Xyron first and then die cutting. That works, also, but the backing gets die cut so you have to peel off the intricate backing which can be a challenge. TFS

I am SO glad i found this; thank you! I am desperate for an adhesive solution. I have tried everything. I finally discovered these sheets of adhesive that really help but are not always reliable for some reason. Then i was watching Anna Griffin's show and heard her say to use Xyron. I had never heard of it! I am still not sure how she uses it for piecing, but i had to look it up. I spelled it all wrong, but AI seemed to catch it and corrected my search. Thank heavens! I am dying to try this! I would have been crushed if i had spent that much money and then had those icky problems! I have ruined so many cards, especially using metallic card stock! I was dying for a solution. I started with various glues, but they ruined my intricate dies or dried before i could painstakingly finish getting glue on them. And the tape runners! Oh, the tape runners! So many i have had to throw out after only a few uses! They won't roll or just come apart! I tried every trick they suggested! I still have 2 more brands in the drawer, but I am afraid to even try! I bet i have spent well over $200 on adhesives in the 8 months that i have been card making! One glue i opened, and it had turned to sponge rubber! Ha! No one could believe it when i returned it. I have the most lovely dies, but I had almost given up when i found the sheets. Yet, they did not seem strong enough at times, so maybe this is the solution. I am dying to try piecing but cannot quite understand how to cut it so the pieces don't fall out. Thank you!❤
