Yes Chris... you need to bolt the machine down while using it.

I wonder if/when I should clamp the machine down. Maybe you could tell me every time you answer a question.

It’s the first I’m hearing of this clamp or bolt your machine down. I like to put it on my lap while I’m watching TV in my bed and sew.

I have had more problems with this machine. Purchased at Tandy Leather on advice of salesman now he says to buy their new Craft Pro ???? Going back to hand stitching

I know a month later, but hopefully you get this. There are a myriad of users on YT that have solutions to the various issues people experience with the machine. Look up Road Agent Leather and look at his "Boat Anchor" video. He addresses the results of his turmoil and the solutions he came up with. His runs really smoothly.
