Tips and How to use a High Velocity Dryer on a dog

Drying a dog is not as simple as it seems. In this video I give you tips on how to use the high Velocity Dryer while drying a Shih Poo. They are also called force dryers or blasters. Using the high velocity dryer the wrong way or on the wrong dog can be detrimental.

Thank you!! I have a Bernese mountain dog and I have been totally unable to get her coat fluffy and voluminous. Now I’ve seen your technique I will definitely give it a try. She’s a big dog to groom, so it’s always a disappointment when she doesn’t end up looking her best. I think this technique will really work.

My job makes me use a hv dryer for their ears and face. Do you have any tips on how to do that efficiently?

Hi sorry for the delay. Take off any nozzle. Turn on low. Put cotton in the ears to muffle the noise

What are alternate ways to dry a puppy who is overly sensitive to the sound of the blow dryer?

Hi, sorry for the delay. Using the stand dryer is less noisy then the velocity dryer. Put it on low. Also you can put cotton in the dogs ears to muffle the sound

Also, keep working with them so they will eventually understand it’s not so scary. Bathe and dry more often so they get used to it in their routine. It’s important to expose them to these noises because they will have a lifetime of grooming. Good luck and be patient with them 🐾💕
