What’s an ideal amount of bombers in a stack , depending on how many units per enemy stack, and should you pair bombers and fighters together to defend incoming fighters
The more the better. Think of your bomber stack as a savings account. It's good now, but if you add a bomber every few days, it's going to be a monster in a month or so. Absolutely throw in some fighters, especially if you've seen some fighter activity from the enemy. A few balloons with your infantry is great for sight and their 1.5 defense against air is great. If your enemy is going all bombers, use your fighters to patrol over your infantry stacks while you mess stuff up with your bombers!
That's why they're end game units. Once you have your ground armies solid, and good resource production, you need an advantage. A stack of 8 bombers and 8 fighters together can be a game changer. The bombers for attack damage and the fighters for hit points. If they're not ready, you can take them apart. Also, if you keep churning out the bombers, you can become unstoppable. But yeah, you need a few, and you need fighters in there too. The only decent air defense units (other than fighters) are armored cars and balloons.
Fighters and other bombers can attack bombers in the air, but all units can defend against air, although it is usually pretty weak. The best units for air defense are armored cars, balloons, and cruisers
Balloons are weird because although they are technically air, they stack with land, and they are walked along the ground along roads. For all intents and purposes, they are simply ground units with great vision and stackable air defense. Armored cars are also good against air, but the more you put in a stack, the worse they do against air. Balloons do not suffer this efficiency penalty
When an air unit attacks any ground or naval unit, you look at that unit's air defense. For battleships, it is 1.2. Oddly, cruisers are better at air defense at 1.5. The more you have stacked, obviously, the better chance you have of shooting planes out of the sky. Just remember, this only works defensively. When planes swoop low to attack your ships, you have a chance to counter-attack. But if you want to initiate an attack on a flying unit, you must go to the province they flew out of and attack them when they're refueling or resting.
So I built my first Bomber. BUt when i click on it, it will not display the button for move attack etc. like it does on the fighters. can you please tell me why?
Okay so, if i go and attack with my bomber or fighter plane outside of the big circle, it will go on land and just be dead because it can barely do anything?
Exactly. If you attack or move outside your range (circle), your men will pack them on to flatbed trucks and move them on roads. Sometimes this is exactly what you want to do, but most times not haha
Hey bro I accidentally sent 4 fighters somewhere and they went through transport and they dropped down to a .4 health while in transport is there a way to heal them because I need them bad right now 😭?
Thanks for the video. I would like a video about the real efficiency of bombers. To me they are very slow (in attacking I mean - they need perhaps 2 or 2.5h depending on where they are to flight towards the target, shoot, and back), and they are very very expensive (10K oil). And on top of that, often you can´t use them because a few fighters are enough to kill them easily. To be fair, I rather invest in cannons (and fighters) and win games.
Man, I'm with you 100% I wish this game had some kind of dps system. Although it would be more like damage per hour or something. The problem is, I assume it varies with distance from target. I do try to position my bombers as close as possible before beginning their attack runs
@@muffinthepresident2332 bombers. Always shift to bombers in the midgame. Big stacks of bombers counter big stacks of arties. Don't forget to mix in fighters for their air defense
Hey, I sent my bomber to bomb like 4 dudes, went to bed, woke up, and bomber had been killed? Any help what I did wrong? Can it die if you bomb outside the circle?
Yes. If you bomb outside the circle, the game will send you there anyway. But when it's outside the circle, that means outside your flight range. So your bombers were put on trucks to make their way via land to the destination. Naturally they are very vulnerable on land. If you are going to sleep, make sure they are at a protected air field or patrolling so they don't get caught on the ground.
