I recommend turbo hardening rammer on everything not called RHM panzer by the way for this mode. The better accuracy modifier makes v stab not worth it.
Helpful vid! I learned about some new positions I didn't think of before, like the spot on Oyster Bay where you got a reset on the strikes. And I didnt know CS got personal strikes from picking up the radar on El Haluf to reset the A1 strikes. Very insightful.
Cool video. I'm not comfy using mediums in this format. I'm using the IS-7 and S Conq. Mainly the IS-7. I am working on the 60tp, ST-II, and 430U tech trees but I am not sure I am going to play this format much more. I was at 52% win rate last season but missed Silver. So far this season I am at C in Bronze and struggling to string wins together. Literally 4 or 5 games in a row where people who should not be in LTs insisted on being in LTs and multiple people too. Down every game 0-2 and 0-3 so fast. Rental Maus on the back line trying to snipe, stuff like that. I just want to get to Silver. I'm at work for most of the sessions, so i get in maybe 5 games a night. Every losing streak really sets me back because I cannot grind.
That was awesome, thank you for sharing, I recently got the E50m , don't have 60TP or CS yet, I keep seeing Obj 277's solo or 2 catching bronze league players off guard, its a pain, cause at that level usually there is 1 person off being a tourist on the otherside of the map, so the Obj 277s catch them off guard.
I have good sessions with STII in onslaught, too. I can easily make with it 3-4000 damage. I like it because of the 8 degree gun dep (IS7, obj 277, 705a do not have), that makes it usable on most maps, worked better than e5, which has the same gun dep. If both turret filled, I can damage 8-900 within short time, it is a great advantage, after that I fill 10 sec for 440 dmg.
For me personally voice chat worked wonders to climb out of bronze solo, eu2 is hell, perma coinflip basically, but in eu3 its way easier because most players have vc activated and use it. you need to speak russian though 1600-1700 above both servers use vc so it doesnt matter
Quite frankly I just reached silver got the Kpz and the Concept and now I just play enough to finish the weekly missions. I had some good games and most losses I ended up not losing too many points. However, I had enough of those games when you are almost immediately isolated and gang banged, with the corresponding loss of points. I do not hate all aspects of this mode, but I am not a fan of grinding my way to a decent rank. At a certain point I stop having fun and it just feels like I have become a slave to WG. No thank you.
I think this format works well for randoms, I've learned from those in the past and I've picked up a couple of things here too. But for teaching "low tier Onslaught players" or whatever you called them earlier in the vid, I think it would be better if you lay out comps and opening strategies. This is quite doable for Onslaught because of the very limited number of maps and desirable tanks. Like on this map and this spawn you want these tanks for this reason and you want them to go there and there for this and that reason. And maybe also cover what you see happening in lower tier games but are outright bad opening plays. Because at our level, I think it's just russian roulette after the opener? It can go either way. I don't have anywhere near the strategic insight to work this all out myself, let alone in the blink of an eye, and/or in the heat of battle. Your decision to push hill in spite of being outnumbered, you noticing the 5k hp difference and recognising the time sensitivity of a push there and then, the enemy team pushing you on airfield and immediately after relocating and pushing the other flank, you playing defensively and being very apprehensive at the start of ghost town. Imho all those are examples of a level of insight and reactivity that goes way over my head. And I dare say this is true for most. If not, they'd be on your level, not ours 🙂
I agree with most of this, although I don’t think there is much point in covering overall strategies on different maps as you can’t easily control what your team will do and it’s better in the short term, rather than train for a month to be a caller which isn’t even guaranteed to work or for you to be good at it, to instead just react individually to what your team is doing as an initial. I usually just see where my team is going and fill in the position where I think I’m most needed and it even works decently when you are high ladder. Teaching where to go in each battle for the many different combination of initials your team can possibly do is very difficult unless I make a whole series and is very context dependent, so I am just showing in this video with examples. As for team comp, basically every map you can just bring 4 or more 60tps and be fine so if u are unsure just play that. 2 meds is never bad either as long as it’s e50m/430u. As for Rhm, I don’t think lower ladder players should play it if they are not confident in their knowledge and skill. A couple maps you can play CS 63 such as mines and el halluf but I wouldn’t recommend it for el halluf unless you know what you are doing, or if your team is clearly going to hill on mines and needs 1 more.
As for the el halluf where we were up 5k HP, the reason that repush was a no brainer imo was because their tvp was out, we have an autowin if we just go trade HP with them because we are up so much, and lastly because our whole team is stuck in the corner. They have to realize that they can’t just sit there forever. If they want to win they will have to push out at some point anyways, and their 277 was overcommitted on me (which was my main goal when pushing that anyways to make their 277s isolated for my team to push).
In the situations when you have to cover the offside (like on ghost town and oyster bay), the most basic idea is you have to know if you will have more or less tanks that the enemy on that side. In both cases I knew they had more so I have to play passive. That is why I positioned myself that way in both of those games (very cautiously). This is true for many maps. Airfield you can play in the base, redshire it is true for, etc. el halluf I recommend all 7 tanks go fight north.
I am currently using 430U from your other long onslaught video recommendation as well as 60tP, Conqueror, IS-7 and obj 268/4. I don`t have E50 on my account yet unfortunately.
my exp , be a coward . Never go yolo and die soon , Stay alive and do damage . The goal is dont lost too much point when losing . e50m and 430u is the best for this .
its my first onslaught. started at Bronze C, got to Silver E quite quickly. before i got to silver the game been pretty easy, sometimes there are very bad games but overall not too bad. but i can't last more than 3 battles in silver E. i would move down to bronze A, then up to silver E, then down to bronze A...and i dont know since when, things started to get downhill and the game became very hard, I am still in bronze A but i am struggling to even get good game in it. my best tier 10 are E100 and 121, so basically i only use the 121, i am not confident with the E100, it gets farm from all angles. 121 has great DPM at 3600 in my setup, i should out dpm like everything. but unless i get good flank across the map, the brawling is quite hard if they are aggressive, and enemy are usually e100 maus s conq 272 IS7 60TP t57 CS bc e50m...i just cant figure out how to win because all the people do are press W, there is no strategy. and i always get panic when i am not in the fight helping out my team and wasting my dpm. sometimes i rush in to save the team when they are surrounded, i rush in and attract fire from 3 tanks, while yoloing a 60tp. and the team just sat in the dip and do absolutely nothing, they dont think why the enemy is not focusing on them. and of course i died, luckily we won that game.
I dont bother with that mode. You can play your ass off and not gain anything. I did try in the current one, moved up 100 points and then right back were I started a couple games later. Whats the end goal for it?
Gold avg over 3 seasons gives you a free hurricane (reskinned cs63). Other rewards are bonds and bond hardening from the weekly missions, and unlocking a shop to buy concept 1b, kpz50t, bond IAU, bond turbo (with discounts for higher ranking), as well as earning some bond equipment from the annual rewards after 3 seasons and some skins, badges, etc
This mode is total waste of time...when you lose game...even top by damage you lose points, it is not like ranked at all (which was totally ok)....if you are unlucky like me, and have muppets in team...after 500 battles I'm NOT in gold, and I'm green player playing for 6 years (total win8 1800, last 30days 2500), have 2 MOE 60TP...it is just not right!
im pretty sure that onslaught is rigged. Im a 60% wr player. And I cant climb because I keep getting enemys that are full unicum and my team are 2k rating players. So no matter how good u play in the 2 games you win out of 20 u still dont move up. I have gottn many rounds where team take 2-3 lights and 2 grille. Like how can it not be rigged? And ye im free to play...... So I know sub 50% wr players that climb easy. Best tip pay, to climb...... no pay no climb, no matter skills.....
