I’ve watched a few tutorials on steam a seam fusible and you are the first one who mentioned to let it cool before peeling the paper off! Thank you!

Hi there. Thanks so much for watching. I'm glad you found the information helpful. Any fusible web will work better is completely cooled before trying to remove the paper. I have to admit that I have a hard time waiting. ;-) Stay Creative!

Hi Beth. Thank you so much for your positive feedback. I'm glad you found the video helpful. There are many, many more short videos and full length video classes located at HowToGetCreative.com in the member area in addition to what I have on RU-vid. Thanks for watching. Stay Creative!

Thank you so much! This is so what I needed. Could I assume that the Misty Fuse is the product which impacts the feel of the fabric least? I will be machine appliqueing to a bed quilt so want it as soft as possible.

Hi Cathy. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. In my opinion, Misty Fuse is the lightest fusible that I'm aware of. I used it to create an appliqued quilt for my granddaughter and I was very happy with the hand of the fabric. Thanks so much for watching. Stay Creative!

Is Wonder Under or Steam A Seam the lightest weight? Misty Fuse is great but so expensive to use on a quilt top that will be beaded.

Hi Rosemary. I don't know where Dover Tasmania is for sure, but if you look on Amazon, I'm sure you can find it. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching. Stay Creative!

Wonder Under? Most dependable I’ve found. Lite version is also sewable. 😁

I only do hand stitching. What fusible web product works best for this application?
@BarbOwenDesigns
@BarbOwenDesigns 5 лет назад
Hi Claire. I find Misty Fuse to be the easiest fusible to handstitch through. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching, Stay Creative!

What creates the most permanent bond fabric to fabric? Steam a Seam or Wonder Under?
@BarbOwenDesigns
@BarbOwenDesigns 6 лет назад
Hi Kathy. There are lots of things that factor in to which fusible I use. I like both Steam a Seam2 and Wonder Under from fabrics. I rarely wash my projects because I create just for the sake of creating most of the time. If I were planning to use them in wearable projects, I would add stitch over the fused pieces, no matter which one I chose. Experimentation is really the key to see what serves your purposes best. Thanks for watching. Stay Creative!

What do you suggest for adhering White Lace to Black sweatshirt ?
@BarbOwenDesigns
@BarbOwenDesigns 4 года назад
Hi Karen, I'd probably stitch the lace in place. If you really want to use glue, I'd choose a washable glue. Thanks for watching. Stay Creative!

Hi Missy. I'm not familiar with bimart. Maybe your comment will help others who are looking for Steam a Seam. It's readily available now and I'm so happy about that because it's one of my favorite fusible products. Thanks for watching. Stay Creative!

how about for baby onesie.can I use it?
@BarbOwenDesigns
@BarbOwenDesigns 7 лет назад
Hi Janet. The only way you'll know for sure is to try it. I'd suggest using an inexpensive onsie and try the technique you want to use. Wash and dry it and see how it behaves. There are so many variables that I can't tell you a definitive answer for sure. Thanks very much for watching. Stay Creative!

are these fusible web products NON TOXIC? I have look everywhere and CAN NOT find the answer to this question...Thank you..
@BarbOwenDesigns
@BarbOwenDesigns 5 лет назад
Hi Mary. I really can't tell you about the toxicity levels of the products. As they are created for home use, I would surmise that they are very safe. You might try contacting the companies directly and ask them for their specifications. Wish I could offer more information, but I've never been asked this question before. Thanks for watching. Stay Creative!
@iriskarp3114
@iriskarp3114 4 года назад
@@BarbOwenDesigns Yes! Mistyfuse is nontoxic and inert -- safe to work with and safe to have in your finished project. It's a lot about what's NOT in Mistyfuse-- which is how it qualifies and is made in a green industrial park. Most importantly, it's made without solvents, but also important, it's made without blow additives, without plasticizers, and without added adhesives-- which is also why we have such a good aging profile, too. We rely on our engineered web to structure the bond by melting into the fabrics-- I picture it as sending little fingers into the fibers of both fabrics, and tying them together rather than glueing surfaces together.
