I just had this screening on yesterday (7/17/24) at the hospital. Definitely not as bad as some think it may be. From start to finish, the procedure took 19 minutes. More importantly, my doctor said NO polyps (sp). Thank you lord. Health is wealth.
Well I think they failed to mention the pill combo for prep. Americans have addiction to food and obesity issues. If it tastes bad you might ditch it. Not doing prep can lead to a bad surprise. These chemists who make food addictive can flavor the liquid prep. Eldery ppl don't really chug liquids anymore either. But there IS a pill combination with the liquid, why it's not mentioned enough by doctors 🤔?
I finished my prep this morning and yes, it's horrible but I finally finished and just got my colonoscopy this morning, try good juices, popsicle? Anything not clear and just take your time, you'll get through it ❤.
I had bowel problems for years...first colonoscopy at 60 because I did not want to know...bad way to look at it....I waited ....and luckily, and surprisingly, not even one polyp! I do not recommend that because it could save your life...I lucked out. Not everyone is so lucky. The prep is not so bad...well some are and some are not. I had to do the Miralax prep for hernia surgery so I had a practice run (unintentional pun) Haha!...Suprep for colonoscopy...not so bad....no longer huge amounts of horrible liquids to drink.
