This video as genuinely been my favourite one of yours so far. I find it hugely interesting that not only do we get an insight in to your hobby but also in to you as a person. I think what you have done here is why got me back in to the hobby and you should be commended. Imagination is the building block of so much in life let alone in our downtime and relaxation and even though you say you only put minutes of research in if those led to hours of enjoyment then you have succeeded where so many of us fail. I'm working on my own take on a primaris only company within the Dark Angels and much how you have taken bits that you like from the space wolves (I really like the werewolf part and less of the viking part :D) I hope my lore will really shape the look and feel of my company. Will it be competitive? Unlikley, do I care ? No am I enjoying it? Beyond reason!! I'm so glad you have made this video. More like this please really well done!

Great video, my man! I really enjoyed hearing the lore for your custom chapter while watching you paint a model for it! I have my own custom Space Wolves. I call them the Silvermoon Wolves, which honestly started just because I didn't like the light blue color of Space Wolves I had seen at the time. So then I thought, what colors remind me of Wolves. Black and silver remind me of moonlight, so this the Silvermoon Wolves were born. After that, I created my own lore about a Wolfguard Battle Leader that was leading a mission. Their ship was caught in a Warp storm that caused them to crash land on a planet that was also affected by these storms. The storm scrambled all of their sensory gear and communications, but their tracking and scouting skills allowed them to discover that this planet also had a a force of Black Legion on the planet. During this time, neither side was able to detect the other, so the Wolfguard Leader Methos ordered his warriors to color their armor black and utilize guerilla warfare, like packs of Wolves hunting in the night. Though both armies were clad in the black of night, the Wolves trimmed select pieces of their gear in bright silver, so that the gleam of silver would signify an ally in the light of the moon. Thus, long after that successful hunt, liberating a world of Black Legion in that Saga, those Wolves would continue to be called "Silvermoon Wolves". ~ Wolfbrother Methos

I'm not as talented as my cousins and the only chapter I easily painted with shake hands is the Relictors chapter.

I'm making a cursed founding chapter who's Flaw is that they slowly lose material form so they have to keep psykers that can keep the soldiers alive they also have an unnatural amount of gear from the heresy like jet bikes and a contemptor making the inquisition think they are pretty sus when in actuality they just found a crashed ship from the heresy on their planet and went yo this stuff looks dope let's use it aka me liking hh models

Mine is the Shadow Hawks which is a Raven Guard successor chapter with a decidedly early WWI/WWII Finnish/Russian theme. Subdued.colour scheme,of black and Olive with a modified and stylized Russian Imperial Eagle for the Chapter sigil. Mostly foot troops in small squads with some Armour, Chaplain are modeled thematically on Soviet Commissars (not 40k ones), a fair few snipers, and an allied grouping (very small) of Admech and one Knight (representing the E-1 super tank, of which the Soviets iy every got one working model built around the time of Stalingrad)

I got a good idea for my chapter but how would I do the shoulder pads? You get them transfers for the popular chapters but can you get custome made ones? I basically want a little tree haha

I can't touch a model without conjuring up somekind of backstory for it...All my armies have a story to tell xD

Actually if you are going for melee assault for your Chapter. While it is not Nordic and instead more Scottish Highlanders. You could hint that the men in your Chapter are the equivalent of Reavers, or Border Reavers. In being they are Light Infantry or Neophytes trained in skirmishing tactics in flanking and assaulting the enemy in quick attacks. Rather they are scouts or no in your Chapter is another thing. But as lore reason for small shields. Eh could be an idea.
