It's past the season now, but I was able to record some footage from last month in my hunt for Morels. I'll share with you some tips from my own personal experience on hunting morel mushrooms.
PGT, You are my mentor. I love the classes you provide for us. This is a real treat seeing you out in the wild enjoying the beautiful day foraging Morels. It’s December in Western Colorado. So this video made my day. Can’t wait to get out this Spring. Thanks again!!!! (Oh and if anyone else likes the content PGT creates and shares with us, show your support with a T-shirt purchase or something. I did.) “Enjoy the Trip”
PGT, i just want to extend my gratitude for everything you do. These videos have been so helpful in my adventure in mycology. It all started with your "1-2-3 agar recipe" now im almost near my first grow. Thank you PGT! 🙏
When I first moved here and started hiking the wooded trails of eastern Oregon, I couldn't believe the number of tourists who come here just to go morel hunting, and they're always enthusiastic about it. I've been here 30 years and never eaten one, but I've seen plenty.
Hey just a quick question unrelated to this what do I want my tub humidity to be at before fruiting so in veg once I've introduced The grain to the substrate
I used to always see chicken of the woods and turkey tail when i was younger in the woods not knowing what it was. Now i know and i cant find any! Aint that something. 😂😩
I came to this video to ask a serious question, I'm trying the all in one bag using Golden Teacher spores, it's been 17 days, and there's no growth at all. What can I do, or can I just inject the bag again.
People seem to often start with Lions Mane and Oysters. They are fairly well off starter gourmets, but there are quite a few enjoyable directions to get started. I would say do some research on various ones and compare them for what you would like, some things are preference 🙏🍄 I wish you the best on your journey! Mush love
Is he not making videos anymore? His discord is pretty dead to. He answers questions but not many ppl to talk to anymore. Same with 90secondmycology it's like everyone went mia
Hey brother, just watched your coco coir video and I first wanted to say thank you for all the great vids you've put out. Second, You said in the video that you don't use the straight coir method but it works just the same.. my question is, why don't you personally use the straight coir method?
People are still finding Morels in Washington State due to our mountains. It's not necessarily past the season. One thing I've noticed here is I find deer tracks and poop near where I find morels. They love to eat them.
I know this is a late comment question. But if my out dated pressure cooker only gets just 13 psi could I still use it some way to sterilize my projects?
The fake morals look like a morel that was involved in a nuclear accident. They're ugly as hell, and the lattice work of them is not as well defined. Once you've found or seen real morals, and you see a "false morel" you can't confuse them.
Pro tip - when foraging in the wild it's exciting to spot one but do not go barging over there. Stop, look around, tread carefully, identify any more before you tread all over any others that are there. Sub hunter.
I think you should have warned about confusing these with the genus Gyromitra, which are LETHAL. To a less expert eye they could be mistaken for a morel.
@@FunkyDexter Copy. No Doubt everyone should do research before going mushroom hunting. Take Pics and any other info to help. Like a book in case there is no reception. Have a Great One. Be Safe.
False morels are different in many ways than true morels. First of all true morels have hollow stems where false morels have solid stems and false morels veils are different
False morel? Looking at pictures online morel are pretty distinctive, but people must get mixed up for some reason or are they jus morons? We had a dude near me that took people out, an "expert", he's dead, dun know if it was a false morel or what?
False morels I don't think are deadly like that. But in short yes they're morons, they look like morels that got caught in a nuclear blast and are mutated. They don't have the nice clean latticework of a normal morel. They look like mutants.
