Thanks Rob. Great advice. If I may just add two other tips for when people go ashore in port 1. Check the time you are due back on board. It is always shown on a board as you leave the ship. Also, check your watch agrees with ship's time. This is nearly always the same as local time but I have occasionally experienced a difference. 2 When going ashore, make sure you have the contact details for the ship's port agent. This is usually printed on the port information sheet. If ever you experience any problems the port agent is the person to contact. I know this from experience once when in Amalfi. Thanks again
