@@GillansGarage of course man, just been watching some of these while eating lunch. Right now I just have a 2014 explorer, I wish I could take it off roading but the independent suspension and ground clearance isn’t going to cut it. I’d really like to have a few classics like you someday to throw around on trails. Maybe an old wrangler or XJ Cherokee.
@@tylerpalmer8722If I was a Jeep guy I’d have an XJ, but being a Ford Guy, Broncos are where it’s at. I have an early bronco chassis with a good set of axles that I’d like to put under that red Bronco II and make it a trail buggy!!!
@@GillansGarage what kind of suspension/axle setup did those broncos have in the front? Was it a solid axle or something else? If memory serves I thought it was the twin tortion beam suspension but that might’ve been the exploder
66-77 Bronco’s have a solid front axle. The 66-70 had a Dana 30 and the 71-77 had a Dana 44. All Early Bronco’s had a 9” rear. Bronco II’s and Explorers had the twin traction beam axle setup.
@@GillansGarage Those were some good tips too (didn't see them till after) but my washer was off center too and bushing swollen. After getting removal tool unstuck, I ended up knife edging the leading edge with a bench grinder (outer) and hand held grinder (inner) then lubed the hell out of the tool and bushing and was able to get it over and pop it off. Twas a bummer though!
Got an f150 im probably gonna end up selling. I was gonna pull the engine and fix the leaks and messed up wiring, but after seeing how bad all the body mounts were, im basically done with the truck
@@GillansGarage thanks for the reply. Jeff’s said they didn’t offer the silicone ones but I would settle for a nice set. I just want something that has a spacer set like you used
That’ll be on a follow-up video. It’s still in winter storage until all the salt is rinsed off the roads. Haha. I’ll be pulling my camper to Disney from PA at the end of this month, so stay tuned for a proper review then! Thanks for the comment!!
@@GillansGarage aye no problem man. I run 2 1986 250s and started a channel myself but I'm technologically impaired and can't beck on the account to upload stuff lol. #fordLIFER
As much as I wish them did, they don’t. I believe the mount under the drivers floor on the truck is close to a match but different enough not to work. I asked S&B if they would start making van mounts to no avail.
