The “Fishing in the Vantaa River” series introduces fishing spots in the Vantaa River, located near Helsinki. The river is more than 100 kilometres long, and it's one of the most popular fishing spots in Finland. In addition to many salmonids, the river also has cyprinids (roach, asp, chub, tench and rudd), pike and perch. Only lure and fly fishing are allowed in the rapids areas for people with a proper fishing licence. Angling is allowed only outside the rapids.
