Well done! I don’t think just anyone can wear this bright raspberry color but it looks great on you. Like the way you cut the fabric so the design is centered and your scalloped edges come together well at the seams. Very impressive!

i love this. i want to get a very nice lace with bright coral stone, sea life embroidering and this pattern would look great...but i am not good with sleeves...want to try frill or handkerchief like sleeve so it can just cover my shoulder and arm hole to be discrete. This looks lovely on you.

This is the first time I've seen your channel. Loved the video and the lace top. Very pretty. I have a lace cover up pattern to sew or serge. Would you suggest using stablizer fabric for the seams so the machince doesn't pucker the seams? Look forward to watching your other videos.

Welcome to the channel! Thank you for watching :) Adding stabilizer would definitely help! If the fabric or lace is more opaque it would be easy to hide. In my case I could have used a wash away stabilizer to make it slightly easier!

I didn't! That would have been a great idea. I should see if the rest of the fabric is still in my stash. I still have this top and wear it often.

What do you have your sewing machine set at?

The stitch length is around a 3 (or 8-12 per inch) with a normal tension. Using a straight stitch!

I can not find tips how to serge lace fabric. In this video that part seems to be not shown as well. I see the actual serging but what settings did you use, what size of needle was not mentioned. My normal knit settings (for knit lace fabric) make lace gather and when ungathering it, all the threads getting unraveled.
@becauseimcrafty
@becauseimcrafty 4 года назад
If that's happening I would say your needle tension is too tight. That's probably making the tightening effect. When you pull it the thread is loosening, making the looper threads unravel. Try to use a needle size close to the weight of your fabric. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching 😁

Great top but at that speed I learned very little. Be just as easy to read from a book. I thought this was an instructional video. Why the fast motion?

Getting used to editing! Also, the videos would end up being so long my laptop couldn't handle saving them sometimes. Still learning the editing software as I go. Thanks for watching.
