Tips for taking a dream vacation to Iceland 

Just to be clear, locals don't buy the cheap wool sweaters from the tourists shops, they have them made by their grandmothers and aunts 😊. The wool used in these mass-produced versions is typically processed too much, made outside the country but using local wool, and doesn't really have the thermal value higher than normal wool. It probably not something that would fit into the definition of a budget travel, but if you buy a locally made wool jumper (known as loppers), from the Handknitting Association of Iceland. The locally made jumpers will have an unbeatable thermal isolation, and taken well care of, it will last you for decades! If you already live in cold places, like Boston, I would say they are worth the price.

It's a small world. I was at the waterfall with my Iceland friends during the filming for the broadcast. We had no idea that there was going to be a filming for the show. It was great to see them all.
