If you see this just know CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT EXISTS Example:we have a series where someone gets bullied but u don't have to make them go super ultra demon angel hybrid alpha mode and make them kill the bully making a bully more kind and someone you can relate to and want around is something cooler.or maybe they are homophobic but like someone that is homosexual for their personality and they learn to except it.These were just two bad examples I made at 4 in the morning but im sure if you take the time to plot good characters then you can make your story so much better!
Great point! Bullies are people too, and if there’s one trope I really dislike is when some “worse” bully comes along and all of a sudden what the first bully did was okay and they’re forgiven cause they aren’t as bad :,)
very minor thing but thank you for using sympathy instead of empathy and not calling him a narcissist on the bad boy example > < ihave npd and when that came up i was nervous but then felt relief bcuz of that : D
Also super important make sure the antagonist gets punished in the end for all the wrongdoings unless they have a reason for doing it and they managed to turn themselves around.
I know I'm late but always keep in mind that characters actions usually depends on they're personality and they're relationship with the person/thing thats involved. I get that its "more original" if the person who is getting bullied loves they're bully, but that isn't how life works. Don't get me wrong, you can do that. But in reality the person who gets bullied will always talk bad about they're bullies to they're friends (yes you need them to have friends because no one is really without a friend eg; online, in school, classmate etc...), and it probably isn't abusive either. It's more of a group of girls saying "Omg love your outfit! Where'd you get it?" with laughter every second because no one is that upfront about how they think your clothes look ugly. And for this lets put the example that the character is a very "chill" person who doesn't really care so they're response to the bullying is different then someone who is more sensitive. And you have to understand that actions usually have a motive, if not then why do it? So in response to the bullying the "chill" character is irritated but doesn't say anything much, just a laugh it off kinda response. But after sometime it kind of hurts her and by the time we reach the climax, you could build it off of how she stands up for herself. Make sure characters vary with different religion and such as its more realistic. Also don't make it so only the protagonist is going through something or is the only one getting bullied, but don't over do it too. Its okay to get inspiration from real life situation but don't write how you responded link how the character would respond from they're personality and the relationship with the person/thing. This right here! Bullying comes in different forms and so do the people who are affected by it. Even popular characters can get bullied by their own friends, so it doesn’t always have to be someone new or shy either. While we’re at it, parents and siblings can also play a part in how the character deals with it. Perhaps there’s a “they hit you, you hit them back” kind of mindset there that they might push on the character if they find out. I really hope more people read your comment, it is very inspiring 💕🐝
For me I think I am going to make a person that actually have stytoms of depression. Like getting little to no pleasure in things they used to enjoy. (Examples: Writing, eating, reading, drawing, coloring, tv, etc.)

My Gacha World is complicated... Basically there's a purple-blue alien called Comet, then there's also Arthur who loves nature and kinda helps Comet when she crashes into the woods where he lives. Edit: I need ideas for other characters, I'll reply if I choose yours
Sounds like a very fun concept! I suppose Arthur will help Comet come understand how he lives and such. There are many different ways you can add characters depending on what conflict you want. You might not need many at all. I’d say, give Arthur maybe one friend or maybe a group that might make Comet understand how his people interact. Perhaps you could make them people he’d wanna keep Comet away from? 👀 Hope this helps! 💕🐝

@@chomperthetrox Sounds very cool! I’d recommend working out is motivations. Why does he kill aliens besides removing evidence? Is he working on a project that requires something the aliens have and is planning to use it against others? Or maybe he’s hired by some conspiracy group and is secretly working against them?
You should also talk about how if a character just slaps someone, suddenly they have a large scar on their face? Isn't it supposed to be a slap? That makes absolutely no sense at all!! Right

I'm gonna be making a series that focuses on two twins who become gachatubers. The series is gonna be called "The Gachatuber Twins". The stories are gonna focus on the twins who are named Alexandre and Mirabelle. (These are possibly not gonna be their final names for when i start). The series would be about the importance of friendships and patience as well as honesty and trust. I'm gonna begin writing the first episode soon. Got any tips?
Something that I struggle with is I make time go to fast, for example , a conversation a character just had with her dad was only 10 seconds and its hard for me to take things in. If I don't understand it, as its my own story, other people probably won't too. Do you think you can help me with that?
also all main characters don't have to be a girl! they can be a boy too! Imo it's great to base ur characters on real people like your brother 1 of your friends this also helps when making background characters
yea boys can be main too but i'm from India and all indian movies are male-dominant (ig not only indian movies), so that kind of gets on my nerves, so i always keep female... :>
I wanna make a zombie apocalypse series but im not sure how to do it or start. Like the characters, im not sure how to make them fit in and how their personality goes with the story.
Sounds interesting! I think you should start off with world building because it can make it easier to go into depth about the characters later on. Here are some things you could think about! - How do the zombies work? Can they be fast, slow? Do they infect people through biting them or through sickness or maybe both? Do they have feelings? - Where does your character / characters live? Countryside or inner city? How is that affected by the zombies? (Characters can be from different places and meet in all kinds of ways!) - What was life like before the zombies? How does that affect the main characters relationships during the apocalypse? - How are zombies viewed by people? Opinions can differ and cause conflict! Also, feel free to create made-up areas where the story takes place. Maybe make maps so that you have an idea of where they are. Don’t forget that anybody can be trapped in the apocalypse. You can have a paranoid character that’s already prepared for the worst or a cheerleader who makes use of all their gymnastics training in the apocalypse. Anything is possible! Hope that this helps. It could either be the name of a character or something that’s related to the story. Think about what kind of story it is. Is it action, fantasy or every day kind of stuff? I love that line you said "Remember you are not writing about yourself but the character. " I think you said that😅 but anyway most people make it to where the character has there personality and everything rather than what the actual character would feel. Like for me I talk a lot of trash and act cool when I am not and in reality I am very shy happy and nice at least I think I am nice. But I would want to think of what the character would act like a out going part type of person! (Which I am not 🥲) and maybe some other characters have some of my personality but not to where I make the character always act like me. I hate the reaction videos on anime characters where it only shows how they would react instead of the actual character reaction 😂
You should talk about connecting small things to more bigger things. For example, A girl runs a café and she has an enemy. The new resterant in town. So she goes to a collage to advertise her café. But before she gets the idea she goes to the new restaurant to soke up her teers in food. And then when she goes to the school, she realised that the popular girl is the child of the owner of the restaurant by her lunch.
