With the Hyper Strike I always try to grab the orb, not because im gonna use it, but because having my opponent no NOT get it works better for me They tend to desperate because you have the chance to do a hyper strike event if you never had any intentions on doing it Also, throwing a hyper strike and mashing A to throw it on gray instead of orange of blue (aka a bad hyper strike) is better than no hyper strike at all With this you can stun boomboom and have a chance to score once he let go of the ball, and its also a good strat when you need to stall and make some time once you have the lead since the animation where boom boom its trying to stop the hyper strike tends to took a decent amount of seconds Those are the only tips that i think about now and people seem to talk little-to-not at all about it
Piping hot tips no one asked for: Did you know that if you have more one account on your Switch you can use any gear set you have equipped across all accounts? (Example: if Account A purchases and equips cannon gear for Toad and Account B has the turbo gear equipped, Account A can choose to use Account B's equipped gear and vise versa.) If you use all eight accounts you could theoretically have a full game of Toads, each with their own set of gear. Also if you activate a star after you activate a hyper strike charge the star power doesn't disappear, making you completely invincible while you charge your strike. Feel free to spread the word (a shout-out wouldn't hurt either 😉)
these are good tips but i have a question real quick. if you give a lob pass, does the character the pass is going to automatically jump? or do you have to input a / b for them to jump?
the answer is yes they jump up to the ball by themselves- which is good coz you can input another pass, shot, or lob right as they jump to get a perfect move
It probably is because I play smash bros but dodging with R feels so much more natural than dodging with the c-stick. I already have my index finger on the R button and my thumb is on the face buttons.
It feels natural to me too but moreso because of Charged. In charged, you press the d-pad, but the direction of the d-pad doesn't matter, it's the stick direction that does, just like pressing R in Battle League
Easy. Abolish the idea of winning by “chance”. And claim victory as a logical consequence. Football is, at its core, a sport about scoring goals even at the expense of your teammates. The best player is the one that scores the most. 🤓
was gonna like and sub, then the bonus tip was faked and i disliked the video. I will have to get some closure from this experience, thank you all for your support 🙏
For sure. Lately though I've been using it more on offense. I think missing tackles because I was too fast made me want to use it on offense instead lol
@@umbruhhh One nice thing is that a perfect tackle with a mushroom in the right direction can easily be a free charged shot, or at the very least, nice placement if your character is not Rosa (or your shooter).
Good vid but the shooting bit is inaccurate (I think?). In my experience, up and down on the stick are pointing to what posts you're aiming for. Instead of left/right, i'm going to use forward and back because your character is flipped depending on what goal you're shooting on. Back on the stick is a high shot, forward is a low shot.
Hm maybe a bit? I'm testing it again and holding down hits Boom around his chest. Off the ground a bit but not chipping him if that makes sense. Down and Up goes straight at Boom Boom, though. To aim for the corners I think it's more of a diagonal direction like Up-Forward. Feels that way to me anyway. One thing for sure is Forward/Down-Forward and Up-Forward all send a more grounded ball at Boom Boom than holding straight down does. So that's probably better for getting a stun or rebound opportunity?
This is correct. The vid is inaccurate. Was about comment myself. It’s in the tutorial as well. Back (higher) forward (lower-ground). If you only hold up/down it aims to be mid.
I have another video on my channel about the "Insane Strength Build" I made. The link should also be in the description of this video. That video goes over the team in detail! :)
The only thing that I think is really annoying is that when you switch players it dosnt switch to the closest one to the ball it goes in a certain rotain which causes to lose alot of time
I have a question about the technique stat -> curving your shot. Does it automatically curve your shot? I tried differrnt shots with 22 tech luigi last time and i was holding up the whole time so it would go into the top corner perfectly (this was from around mid field tho). The shot started to curve down later into the shot tho even tho i did not hold down anywhere. Is this normal?
Great video! I’ve been looking for help in this situation. If my opponent has a star power on what’s the best way to combat it, just trying to body block the shot?
I usually try for a body block, yeah. If they're using the star for a free hyper strike you can actually knock them out of it if you tackle/item them after they've locked into the animation.
